While at UVA, she worked in the Medical Intensive Care Unit until she and her husband relocated to the Raleigh area in 2018. Kara then made the transition to working at WakeMed in their Adult Emergency Department. She graduated from The Ohio State University in 2021 with her master’s degree and is now a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Kara is passionate about health promotion and making a positive impact on her patient’s quality of life.

Candace Chitsaz is a Family Nurse Practitioner, born and raised in Raleigh, NC. Candace graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and worked as a high risk obstetrics nurse for several years.
