Salon Lechene

I have never been treated so rudely in my life. Mary just phoned me to tell me that they would not be able to do my color that is scheduled in two days. She said that she would be happy to do a haircut, but that it was apparent that they could not make me happy regarding color.
I asked her what this was based on and she said they had their reasons.
I described my previous consultation appointment there last week in which the stylist barely spent any time doing what I had scheduled. I told her that the stylist had indeed done a test strand and was able to find the right color, but Mary would not let me finish talking. Her manner of speaking was almost abusive and she told me that she was not going to continue the conversation and that it was apparent they could not make me happy. I have no idea what she's even talking about. I'm guessing that her stylist is not very experienced and not comfortable with correcting my base color and highlights.
The stylist did have a hard time understanding what I was saying in terms of trying to get the color corrected and kept suggesting something different. After repeating it numerous times I did say that it wasn't that difficult. She did not seem upset at all and proceeded with the color strand test. She did not leave it on very long and kind of rushed through things including my consult for an updo. But I still paid her and even tipped her. It was all very strange and I would not consider ever going to them for anything.

I like to support our local businesses. As a Cary resident I have tried on more than one occasion to frequent this establishment based on the reviews on several websites. I will say they do give a great cut. But that is where the "great" ends. I walked into their establishment and waited for more than 10 minutes for someone to come to the front. The sign said "walk-ins welcome. Not so, they told me to come back 4 hours later. Next time I tried again to "walk-in" on a Tuesday for 1/2 price services. I was told it was for new customer's only. No where on the sign did it mention that. Then I purchased a Groupon, which they wouldn't honor because it was for "new customers" only. The manager, Mary called me back, told me I should call Groupon and have them purchase it back. Really?? I have never experienced such poor customer service in a neighborhood business. I make sure to tell my neighbors and friends to stay far, far away.

I recently found Noelle at Salon Lechene. I loved how bright, clean, and friendly the pkace was. After explaining some previous haircolor fiascos, Noelle listened intently and suggested the perfect color combination for my face, and explained how to care for it in the weeks following to keep it beautiful. Finally someone who listens, and knows what theyre doing with my hair color. The whole staff is so nice, I cant wait to go back.
