Shoe Repair

I have a pair of western boots that I wear when my wife and I go square dancing. They are broken in well and fit me perfectly. I was heartbroken when I finally wore a hole in the sole of one and the other was paper-thin.
I went to Shoe Repair and discussed the repair. We agreed that the best repair would be half-soles and they quoted me a price. They promised to return them to me in four business days,
When I picked them up, we discussed that when they'd examined them closely, it was clear that the only way to make a sturdy repair was to completely strip the old soles off and rebuild from the inner-soles out so that's what they did. The relined the new soles, installed high-quality leather soles, and replaced the outer surface of the heels and reinstalled them. The stitching and trimming of the soles were pretty and precise (not easy with the pointed toes), all the work appeared first-rate, and they had beautifully shined the leather and dressed the edges of the soles. And the best thing, the perfect fit that they had been before I took them in was preserved in the repaired boots.
Oh, and they honored the price that they had originally quoted me.
I have worn my boots a few times during some fast and hard dances and they've been delightful to dance in.
