Extremely disappointing experience. My car was skipping and would not take the gas. My husband and I took it to what we thought was the same place we had always taken our vehicles for repairs. Turns out South Coast recently purchased the business. We left our car with James Louis Brown on Dec. 15, 2016 and just received it back this afternoon, Dec. 27, 2016. On Thurs. the 22nd. after paying for a new alternator, and being told they found a few vacuum hoses loose ($324) we were told the car was fixed and safe for me to drive on a 3.5 hr. trip to Charlotte. However it was still skipping both on starting and while driving. Took it back the next morning. Today the cost was another $486. Louis and his men were always very polite. That's all I can say positive. It's a real shame we no longer feel we have someone close by we can trust to take our vehicles to for repairs. SO SAD!!

Louis and his team come highly recommended and I follow that. I had a bad water pump in my VW Passat and they helped me get back to business when I truly needed it. The work was done quickly but also efficiently. I am very pleased with their work. I hope my review helps others to find about their excellent shop!

Wow so happy with these guys! They could've told me anything but it turned out my gas cap wasn't securely fitting- what a cheap fix! An honest mechanic, how refreshing!

Having lived in many places and experienced many types of auto repair shops, We're blessed to have stumbled upon SouthCoast. We are senior citizens living on a fixed income and he always charges us a fair price and does a good job. Thank you again James and crew!
