Put a down payment on a Traverse on Thursday, that evening goverment announced that the clunker program will end on Monday 8/24. On Saturday, just so happen when we were to pick up the car ,Sales manager for McClunkey said that they couldn't get the suv from another dealer on trade and they are not honoring the program as of Saturday.



Thank you McClunkey I guess that why they say they remain Ohio's #1 clunker leader

Went to buy a car and told dealer what I could afford.After finding price of car thanked dealer and left. Sales manager called me back to assure me he could get me the payments I wanted for the time I wanted asked me to come in and he would make the deal. He told me this on three sepreate occasions and I told him I did not want to drive 35 miles and have my daughter upset because we couldn't get the car if he wasnt serious. He gave me his word is his bond speech so I came up only to find that he wanted to go an extra year on finacing to meet my price. He then proceeded to try to sell me another cheaper model to meet my price. I was furious he had me come all the way down there and have my daughter so upset. I sure this isn't the first time this dealer has done this ( he is a sales manager.)Honesty is always the best policy. If the salesman would have been up front on the phone about the finaincing and the price he probalby could have sold me the cheaper version instead of me going to another dealer and buying it there.
