Allergy/Immunology Associates, Inc. is one of the few infusion centers in the United States that is office-based. Our center is set up for IVIg infusions for the treatment of immunodeficiencies and a number of medications for treating autoimmune diseases, such as infliximab (Remicade) for rheumatoid arthritis and Crohn's disease, rituximab (Rituxan) for rheumatoid arthritis, and ibandronate (Boniva) for osteoporosis. We are also available to give Boniva injections, as well as many other infusion therapies.

Dr. Tcheurekdjian is currently Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University. Prior to moving to Cleveland, Dr. Tcheurekdjian served as a clinical instructor in the Divisions of Allergy/Immunology and Experimental Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. He also served as a Visiting Scientist at the Gladstone Institute of Virology and Immunology and as a Clinical Investigator for the Glaser Pediatric Research Network.

Internal Medicine
Was followed by a Master's in Biomedical Science from Barry University. She received her DO degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Georgia. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at University Hospital, Regional Medical Center. In addition, she completed her fellowship in Allergy/Immunology, University Hospital, Cleveland Medical Center. She is board eligible in Allergy/Immunology. She specializes in allergic disorder including allergic rhinitis, asthma, eczema, food allergies, and anaphylaxis. She also specializes in primary immunodeficiencies which include immunoglobulin deficiencies, CVID, and other disorders. She sees both adult and pediatric patients.

Yes, allergists are most certainly doctors. They are physicians that are specially trained to pinpoint allergy and asthma triggers. After a standard four-year medical degree, allergists go on to complete a residency-training program in either internal medicine or pediatrics. They can also focus on a subspecialty of internal medicine, like dermatology, pneumology, or otorhinolaryngology.
Eczema
Dr. Jhaveri has worked with Case Western Reserve University to develop her peanut allergy mouse model to explore her special interest in food allergy. She has several special interests including eczema, contact dermatitis, immune deficiency or frequent infections, rhinitis (hay fever, runny nose), conjunctivitis, asthma, urticaria (hives and/or itching), angioedema (swelling), anaphylaxis, and food as well as drug and venom allergy. Her areas of expertise include rhinoscopy, patch testing for contact allergy, intradermal testing, skin prick testing, IVIg infusions and SubQ IgG injections, food challenges, drug challenges, drug desensitization, Xolair injections, and allergy immunotherapy.

Allergies
Following completion of this training they then take on another 2 or 3 years of study, focused specifically on allergy and immunology. Once all training programs are complete and respective exams are passed, an immunologist is then certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. This certification is public information, and if a doctor holds this certificate, they will be listed on the Board’s website. Our highly-trained allergy doctors Haig Tcheurekdjian, Robert W. Hostoffer, Devi Jhaveri, and Shan Shan Wu are board-certified in allergy and immunology for both pediatric and adult patients, and have been widely recognized for their medical research, publications in scientific journals, and lectures.
