MarineMax Hall Marine Lake Wylie

So I wanted to buy a boat, and went to Lake Wylie Marina to look at their inventory, as they also offer dry storage, and there is only one other place with dry storage on Lake Wylie, and LWM was "offering" it for free thru 2/09. Make a long strory short, my sales agent Jim P, lied to me about the intial price, and the storgae being free. When I negotiated the price, and wanted to confirm everything that was in the package, he all of a sudden said the storage was not free. I spoke to the manager, and he resolved this for me, but not until I filed a complaint with the SC Dept of Consumer Affairs for deceptive sales tactics.



This all happened by email. Then, when we applied for our boat loan, we found out there was some erroneous information on our credit report for one account that belonged to my father, which I had corrected immediately (and let him knew I was doing) and that it would take about 1 week max to have changed, so he told his manager we had been denied, and the manager called me to say he would send me my deposit back. I explained what was going on, and he sounded surprised, and said no problem that he would give us time to get it corrected.



Then, Jim emails me again and says it HAS to get done by the 15th (probably so he could get paid his commission), to which I said they never disclosed to me, nor was it in the contract. I want to be clear though, I have nothing wrong with Lake Wylie Marina, and ultimately bought my boat from them at the lower price, with the storage free thru 2/09, and have had nothing but courteous service from them, and the sales manager.
