        Second best place (after the Comfort Suites) to stay in Copperas Cove, a godforsaken, run-down army town on the west edge of Fort Hood. The comp breakfast is not worth the trouble; skip it and go to a nearby cafe. The place is fairly new and quite clean. Like most hotels in the US, it's run by foreigners who do speak a little English. The rooms are cleaned by illegal Mexicans who speak VERY little English. It's a few hundred yards off US 190, so it doesn't get too much motor noise, and it's convenient to all the shops and services that are located on the highway.
