My son came home from school the other day letting me know that his Science teacher, Ms. Cole, had kicked him out of class for the rest of the week, and failed to notify me. Aparently this is against the law in California. This teacher decided to send my son to a P.E. teacher, Ms. Eckman, to be disciplined. She screamed continuously in my son's face about the issue. She questioned him repeatedly, and because he wouldn't change his story, she screamed at him to "SHUT UP" and followed him to his next class, telling everyone that he was to "be suspended because he was a liar". This is not only verbal abuse, it is bullying, and she violated the student-teacher confidentiality laws prohibiting her from sharing information regarding disciplinary actions taken upon a student. I have spoken with the principal regarding a public and written apology to my son, but have not received anything. Ms. Eckman should be dismissed from her duties at this school. She clearly has no interest in guiding children in a positive manner. I should not have to fear for my son's safety at school because a teacher is bullying the students. .
