Dr. Kun Hee (Esther) Lim, OD is a board certified optometrist who is committed to delivering excellent and high quality optometric care. Dr. Lim received her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Minor in Music from the University of California San Diego. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry. She completed her clinical training across California and in New Hampshire gaining extensive experience in primary care and specialty contact lenses, vision therapy, and low vision rehabilitation. At graduation, Dr. Lim was selected as a member of the prestigious Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society and was awarded the Inland Empire Optometric Society Endowed Scholarship for her leadership.

Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of blindness affecting millions of Americans over the age of 35. Glaucoma is called “the thief of sight” by eye care professionals because the disease typically has no symptoms until irreversible damage to your eyesight has occurred. Ophthalmology
Dr. Schneider-Johnson was born and raised in Southern California. She attended the University of La Verne where she received her Bachelor of Science in biology and graduated Magna Cum Laude with departmental honors. She went on to attend Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Southern California, where she was awarded her Doctorate. Following in her fathers’ footsteps, she decided to pursue the study of ophthalmology. Dr. Schneider-Johnson completed her medical internship in the heart of New York City and went on to complete her ophthalmology training at Ascension Health in Detroit Michigan. During her residency, she was elected chief resident for her outstanding performance throughout her post graduate years. She was recognized for her academic excellence for achieving consistent performance within the top 5% of all residents to have trained at her institution.
Macular Degeneration
Dr. Lim practices full-scope optometry to treat and manage visual and ocular conditions including refractive error, anterior segment disease, cataracts, diabetes, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. She is glaucoma certified and licensed in the use of diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceutical agents. Dr. Lim is passionate about providing each of her patients with comprehensive and compassionate optometric care. She believes that fostering strong patient relationships coupled with effective patient education is key to providing her patients with the best experience and care.
Laser Eye Surgery
Chief surgeon and Medical Director, Mark Schneider, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has been in practice since 1988. He has helped set the standard of eye care in the Inland Empire for 20 years, has over 15 years of LASIK experience and has gained a reputation for unsurpassed quality patient care. He is also board certified by the American Board of Aesthetic Medicine.

Cataract Surgery
The most common cause of floaters is age. Over time, the gel-like vitreous can begin to detach from the retina, forming clumps or strands inside the eye. Patients at TriCounty Eye Institute who have high degrees of myopia or nearsightedness, who experience migraines, or who have had cataract surgery, YAG laser surgery, eye disease, or injury are often more susceptible to floaters.
Eye Exam
Do not hesitate to call our TriCounty office if you are concerned about floaters or flashes of light in your vision. Dr. Schneider will perform a comprehensive eye examination to determine if further treatment is needed. Recommendations may include laser treatment or surgical repair if retinal detachment is found during your exam.
