K9 Grooming Cottage

I took my sweet Papillon there to have her bathed and groomed. When I made an appointment over the phone the lady (Amber) said they were totally booked up, and it would have to wait until the next day. I agreed and made the appointment. 10 minutes later, I received a call, saying they had to move my appointment to the NEXT day for no reason (2 days). I kept a cheery attitude, and agreed. When I brought in my dog, they said it would take about 30 minutes to groom her. I agreed and said, "I'll just sit here and wait". Amber (The daughter?) looked horrified and said I wasn't allowed because the dog would know I'm there and would escape...That's understandable. So I said, "Well I'll wait outside. How long would it take again?". She said she had to go speak with Ronda in the back. After I heard whispering behind the half door/curtain, she popped back out and said it's a 2 hour wait....How do you bathe a dog for 2 hours?! Since I wasn't allowed to be on the premises while they groomed my dog, I told them I'll "reschedule". Not to mention, when I walked in they had very provocative music playing. Every couple of seconds, I would hear faint moaning in the music.... AVOID this place!

I am very sorry that your experience was like this. We usually tell our clients up to two hours for grooming. Your dog was not just a bath, it required clipping and some hand scissor work. Today was very busy due to holiday grooming, we try to make sure we give people a reasonable estimate of time, to make sure of no disappointments.

As to the car seats in my lobby, theyr are only there because this is a busy time and we pick up and drop off quite a few clients for the owners convenience. I'm sorry if this seemed out of place to you, but they do not stay there in a constant basis. It would be ridiculous to replace and remove the seats everyday until the holiday is over.

As for the music that was playing: It was Seal, which is not provocative. The music is only there to calm the dogs. I do not play inappropriate music in my shop.

My girlfriend brought my dog here to be groomed. I haven't seen the inside, so I can't comment there, but my girlfriend loves the owner/employees and they made my little angel so beautiful! They are incredibly reasonable in pricing and less than 5 mins from my house! So happy!
