I saw the reviews were old so I decided to check out the place myself. I found the staff engaging and willing to take time to answer my questions. My kids get quality iinstruction. Lots of enthusiasm. They reinforce the same values we teach at home. I highly recommend.

We joined for our sons who really enjoy the Tae Kwon Do. Eventually my daughter and wife and I joined too. It has been a tremendous experience in every way. We all have benefitted from the discipline and exercise. The kids have all learned great leadership skills that they would not have found elsewhere and we have gained a great extended family not only with the Suwanee location, but with all of Karate Atlanta. Mr. Lower and the rest of the staff are a treasure. We are all grateful for their efforts.

Complaint - Unprofessional Behaviour

I called fellow business owner, Craig Wolfel, as a professional courtesy, to extend to him a specially-tailored opportunity, but I did not get the chance to speak with him to explain the details. I had to leave a message with a "Rhett" who asked the wrong questions, and came to a false assumption of why I was calling. Then he rudely hung up on me.

This "overtrained gatekeeper" behaviour is extremely unprofessional. We do not tolerate this type of behaviour from our own staff, and we do not condone this unfair treatment from others whom we are trying to help.

Our sole purpose is to provide our fellow business owners with what they NEED and REQUEST--but do NOT HAVE. If this is somehow unappealing or repulsive, then they are misunderstanding the benefit, or don't want to benefit. That is unfortunate.

We believe in fair market practices and open business relationships, and more importantly, we believe in the spirit of community and promoting economic health and success.

If they're going to be the "bite the hand that feeds you" type, then we suggest that others carefully consider any possible transactions with them, to avoid unnecessary injury.

Where's the discipline?

My understanding of karate incorporates core values and discipline. Classes are more of a "free for all" and seem to implement no real structure. So long as the kids are just getting some exercise, this may be an alternative to any other sport activity but bears no similarity to the structure, accountability or even curriculum that would promote long-term results in any child or youth. Additionally, most of the classes are run by young teens and not refined instructors. "Throwing kisses" to parents as an "Americanized" version of the respectful Asian bow just humiliates anyone with a concept of karate and just didn't make me want to sign on for development goals. My experience was just kids and adults of any age crammed in together with some participants entertaining themselves instead of learning together in class. My advise? Look somewhere else that takes the practice of martial arts seriously instead of entertainment. They've missed anything that might resemble what the experience is really about and rely only on instant gratification as a goal.
