Chubby's Restaurant

I fell in love with this place on the first day and with the service and it's staff, I have never felt neglected keep up the good work.

Nice restaurant for Duncanville. Friendly host and hostess. However, not all the wait staff are the best. Look for those who really care about the customer's orders and really try to get it right the first time and get it to the table hot and presented nicely. Some of the best are Angie, Bobbie, Christina, Gloria, Heather, and Kelly. I have had bad experience with some of the others. I ordered a steak cooked medium well. The steak was still red and I sent it back. Some ten minutes later the steak was returned cold and only just a little less red. Send it back again - this time is was returned hot but cooked to a piece of leather - almost black. I could hear the waitress talking to the cook saying "He is one of those you just can't please." By that time I had given up on getting a refill on my iced tea. We had guests and took them there for breakfast on Saturday morning. Bobbie was our waitress. I ordered pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. When she brought the food I pointed out that the pancakes were so cold they would not melt butter and the bacon was hard, cold and burned. She immediately took them away and I could hear her telling the cook to "get it right". Few minutes later she brought out a perfect plate of food - just as I had ordered it. I recommend the place - just get a waitress who is really interested in serving what you ordered.

We were thrilled to see Chubby's opening up in Duncanville. However, our first two trips were less than enjoyable. The host, of a newly opened restaurant, never spoke when we came in or paid our bill. He just nodded and pointed to a booth. One or our orders was wrong the first time and when we told the waitress, she just looked at us and turned around and walked off. Nothing was done. Our second trip of 8 folks, one of the family members never got her food and the waitress was no where to be found. We told the host and he said he would take it off the bill. Not a "sorry" or nothing. You could tell they just did not care.



We really want Chubby's to succeed in Duncanville. It is a good location and the family style restaurant is a perfect fit for the area. I realize the place has just opened up and will have to adjust and learn to "serve" its customers. If changes are not made, it will fail with the type of unfriendly attitudes and poor service.



Please make it better!

MY HUSBAND AND I WENT THERE LAST NIGHT. HE HAD THE TEXAS SIZE CHICKEN FRIED STEAK, I HAD THE DOUBLE CHEESE BURGER WITH BACON, NO ONIONS AND FRENCH FRIES. SHE BRINGS OUT HIS AND MY MEAL. MY MEAL ENDS UP BEING A DOUBLE BURGER WITH BACON AND ONIONS AND NO FRIES. SO THEN I ASK TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN SEEM TO CARE. THEY TAKE MY MEAL BACK PULL OFF THE ONIONS AND THROW ON SOME CHEESE AND FRIES, BY THE TIME IT GETS BACK TO ME THE BUN IS WET AND THE MEAT IS COLD. THEY TREATED US LIKE WE WAS TRASH CAUSE WE CAME IN THERE RIGHT AFTER WE GOT OFF WORK. WE WORK AT A MECHANIC SHOP. THE OWNER CALLED ME AND COULDN'T UNDERSTAND A WORD I SAID AND TOLD ME YOU PAID FOR SERVICE AND THAT IS WHAT YOU GOT. NO THAT IS NOT WHAT I WAS PAYING FOR.
