This is the worst company with the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. When I purchased my house they had already conducted foundation repairs and they had a life time warranty on them, so when they started having issues I decided to use them to install additional piers. The "adjuster" was very rude and condescending and talked to me like I was stupid because I actually wanted an explanation of what they were doing. They did the work, and it lasted less than a year and caused plumbing leaks all over in my house. A year later they claim my warranty is void due to the plumbing leaks that they caused. Another foundation company won't touch the piers they already installed. So I had no choice but to pay them to fix the exact same thing they repaired less than two years prior.

Doug Rushing is a jerk and very condescending to women. He thinks that a woman should not have a brain enough to ask questions as to what repairs are they making and why didn't they work the first time.

Seriously, do not use these people! THEY ARE TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I apologize that you are dissatisfied with our company. All information is provided up front to every one of our customers. If we had been contracted to do the repair directly for you, you would have known upfront what to expect before during and after a repair is made. I apologize that the previous owner did not pass this information on to you. The MBR General Conditions do actually discuss warranty claims as well as plumbing issues that may arise after repair is completed. We also offer an informative packet with each and every one of our evaluations sent out. You must understand, MBR conducts a plumbing test because we know how detrimental leaks are and can be to foundations. It is to inform you of underlying problems that could have been the cause of your initial foundation movement, and/or prevent future movement. MBR cannot warranty a house with active plumbing leaks due to this detriment.

First of all I would focus on the reviews from the actual occupants and not the real estate agents...Do not use this company. The bank that owned my house fixed the foundation with MBR and got a lifetime warranty. I moved in a week after the work was done and when I walked around to the back of the house the hole that they dug up was left completely exposed. There were food leftovers and wrappers all around the area. The guy that came out a few days later to fill the hole told me to call them back if the hole opens up again. Less than a year later a hole opened up in the same place. After reading my warranty terms and conditions and seeing that it does not say anything about sinkholes I call them up to come fill it back up. It took them a few days to call me back and when they did the first person I spoke with said he can’t do anything but the guy that originally worked on the house a year ago could. The second guy was very rude and told me that their warranty does not cover sinkholes. He also told me that they expect sink holes to happen at least 2 or 3 times after they do the work. How about adding that to the terms and conditions?! If it’s something that you expect to happen so many times after you do the work don't you think that you should let people know? Also, make sure that your field guys are informed of this. For anyone that is looking for a foundation repair company I DO NOT recommends this company at all.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience or confusion that may have been caused to you regarding foundation repairs. Sink holes are an inevitable aftereffect in any foundation repair company’s line of work. It takes the dirt some time to re-compact after repair, but there is normally left over top soil cover put in place so that the home owner can rake the remaining top cover into the hole as sinkholes occur. Since dirt types and composition differ across the state, this is a standard practice. In regards to you not being informed about sinkholes, it can only be assumed it was due to you not being a party to the original agreement. Our field technicians know about the sinkhole issues that can and often do occur, and are very prompt and forward of notification to all our customers of the likelihood they will occur after a repair is completed. In this case, our original customer was the bank. If we had been contracted to do the repair directly for you, you would have known upfront what to expect. I apologize that the bank did not pass this information on to you. The MBR General Conditions do actually discuss the sink holes. See item #2 which covers possible damages that may or may not occur. While a sink hole is bad as for retaining water and possible trip hazards, it would fall under our damage wavier/release: "It should be noted that some level of risk is associated with all types of foundation repair and there is no such thing as a risk free foundation repair movement". Again, we are very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. We will be more than happy to send you a copy of the original foundation repair proposal, which includes details regarding important foundation repair preparations and expectations.

I bought a house that had some foundation issued that were found during the inspection. My realtor referred me to MBR and they did the work and provided a warranty so I bought the house. After, a year and a half the cracks they were present when I bought the house got worse. I called MBR, paid $250 for a leak test and then had a tech come by for 5-10 minutes eyeballing my cracks and said that everything was fine with my foundation. So now 6 months later, after the cracks got really really bad, the same tech came out who told me 6 months ago that everything was fine that I need an additional $2850 in repairs. Basically more than double the initial foundation repair and its addressing the same cracks ion my house that were there that I bought them. So according to MBR, the cracks that were caused by the intial foundation work when I bought my house are not related to the new work they suddenly need to do even though the cracks are in the same place in my house. BOTTOM LINE THE WARRANTY THEY OFFER AND TRANSFER TO NEW OWNERS IS NOT WOTH THE PAPER IT IS WRITTEN ON. THESE WAARANTIES ARE SIMPLY A SALES TOOL TO GET THERE TECHS IN AND SELL MORE WORK!!!!

It needs to be understood what a warranty does and does not cover. We are sure the original work is under warranty, only the additional work would have been charged for. Unfotunately MBR’s warranty does not cover the installation of new piers. There are many factors that cause movement in foundations. Future foundation movement cannot be predicted. At the time of evaluation, whatever work was proposed was for the current state of the home. If we had been contracted to do the repair directly for you, you would have known upfront what to expect before during and after a foundaoin repair is made. I apologize that the previous owner did not pass this information on to you. The MBR General Conditions do actually discuss warranty claims as well as future issues that may arise after repair is completed. We also offer an informative packet with each and every one of our evaluations sent out.

Shady, shady, shady. That is the best words I can come up with at this point to describe this company. We have a house on the market and the Realtor brought his own foundation specialist to look at our property for repairs. Found it a bit odd, but went with it. MBR inspected and came up with the idea we needed 10 piers done on one side of the house. Once we got the inspection report, it CLEARLY stated that the inspector didn't think our home was in need of repair at this time. Just for laughs I called 3 five star companies off of Angies List and Good Contractors list. All findings were the same as the inspector. Though there was slight movement, NONE of them thought it was in need of ANY repair at this time. Though MBR made it sound lucrative rolling the cost into closing, seems they didn't have a clue on what they were talking about. I'd def get OTHER opinions and read reviews before doing business with anyone.

Please understand that when you are receiving an evaluation from any foundation repair company, you are receiving an opinion, based off of the knowledge with which each representative was trained, which unfortunately is not consistent from company to company. I assure you that every representative from MBR has gone through a rigorous training foundation repair course prior to employment. We have over 300 years of combined experience. Unfortunately, the state of Texas does not offer a Foundation Repair Certification as of yet. We wish they did so that foundation repair can become uniform across the board, and the companies who are not qualified to evaluate a home properly will no longer be in business. Unless you have a licensed structural engineer evaluate a home, you will not be able to receive a certified structural plan of repair or a “no problem” evaluation. As for funding at closing- we offer this to clients who would like to pay for the foundation repair with the proceeds from the home. It is a viable option for those who cannot meet the expense up front.

Poor customer service

They came highly recommend, and we have been nothing but disappointed. They quoted us for repairs in the Spring and made it seem like it would not be a problem, but when I called this summer to begin work, we got the run around. When I tried to schedule an appointment for them to come out to meet us, they acted as if they did not want our business at all. He kept saying there was nothing he could do, when he had said it was doable in the Spring. He kept trying to refer us to a mason for our brick perimeter wall, when I was actually looking for foundation repair. I'm not sure he was even listening to me. He did not seem to take a young female homeowner very seriously. Steve Webster was condescending and had a rude tone. I should have ended my call there. We finally scheduled an appointment for the following Monday, but SURPRISE he never showed up! I'm a teacher and I did not go work on my classroom today so I could meet him. What a waste of valuable time. When I called to ask when they were coming, I was told that it wasn't even scheduled. He said something was screwed up in their system, but he didn't even seem apologetic. In fact, he sounded put out by having to come to Arlington at all. Clearly they don't want our business. I will go elsewhere, and I would suggest you do to!

I apologize for the experience you have received in regards to the foundation issues at your home. There are certain foundation issues that we at MBR can correct, ie: settlement and some that we cannot. We use a pressed pier system that only allows for changes in elevation, not the structure of the home. We recommended a brick mason to address your concerns as in our professional opinion, that would be the correct method of repair. Even though the information may not have been conveyed correctly, it was best for the representative not to mislead you by not suggesting the incorrect repair system for your home.

Watched them do the house next door

The house next to mine is bank owned and they hired mbr guaranteed to fix the foundation. These guys do not know what they're doing. Find out if any house you're buying if it has been "fixed" by MBR guaranteed in or around Dallas. If it has, steer clear of it. They were putting little crappy piers in the front of the house and you can visibly see the back of the house is what has settled. They have no clue. Now the floor isn't level???

claimed iconBusiness Response12/30/2014

Our concrete piering system is the metroplex standard. It is the most cost and time effient while being the most successful and permanent solution to foundation slumping. There are other alternative piering system that other company’s may offer, but like previously stated, concrete pressed pier system is the most efficient and the most standardized in the DFW metroplex. If you will research all local foundation repair companies offer a foundation repair warranty. That is because no piering system is 100% fool proof; otherwise a warranty would be unncessary

This is far the most disgusting company to deal with for your foundation issues. They are very unhonest and lack of integrity for their work ethics. It took them forever to just send an email. Even the number on the plumbing subdivision that they have is invalid. They said they have bought over leaksquad but they still issued out the very old order receipt with an invalid phone number. And my store was exactly the same as Flufflove from the very first post.

The people we bought our house...

The people we bought our house from used MBR to repair the foundation and we had a transferable lifetime warranty. Not even a year after we moved in the house started shifting so we had them come in and check it out. They said that we had a plumbing problem that we would have to fix before they could do anything. We had to dig under the foundation to get to the leak and we repaired it. Once we were down there it was evident that when they repaired the foundation that they never dug out the plumbing before they jacked up the house which RIPPED our plumbing from the foundation! Once we contact them they said us diggin under the house VOIDED our warranty...but that is what they told us to do. So we got screwed out of our warranty for something THEY caused. DO NOT USE THEM!

It is unfortunate that you are dissatisfied with our company, and that your foundation was affected by a plumbing leak. Plumbing leaks are extremely detrimental to foundations and can, in some instances, totally compromise foundation work previously completed. It is listed under our general conditions of our warranty that “This warranty shall be null and void if: 5.) The foundation is undermined (i.e. soil slumping, eroding, plumbing leaks, creek beds, excavations, etc.).” We are sorry to inform you of these circumstances, but all of our conditions are explained and agreed to up front with all of our customers. Please feel free to contact us directly with any questions or concerns.
