Julie L. Dupont was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2006 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Texas. She received her B.G.S. degree from Louisiana State University in 2002, and her J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University in 2006. Mr. Reed has litigated numerous community association cases and disputes involving a vast array of claims including collections and foreclosures, bankruptcy, contract disputes, deceptive trade practices disputes and enforcement of restrictive covenants. Mr. Reed is also a lifetime member of the National Eagle Scout Association.

Employment Discrimination
Dean’s litigation experience is substantial and diverse in both state and federal courts, and includes construction defect claims, contested/wrongful foreclosures, contract disputes, bad faith insurance practices, wrongful death, defense of breach of duty claims against property owners associations and their boards of directors, and employment discrimination. Recently, Dean authored the condominium foreclosure chapter of the State Bar of Texas Foreclosure Manual (3rd Edition). He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which is a prestigious group of trial lawyers limited to attorneys who have won million or multi-million dollar verdicts, awards and settlements.

Real Estate Litigation
Prior to joining Riddle & Williams, Mr. Robinson worked for six years for one of the largest and most prestigious full-service law firms in the State of Texas, where he was trained in litigation techniques and real estate law. At that firm, Mr. Robinson handled a variety of complex commercial litigation matters, including real estate and construction disputes.

Result: Over $1 million recovered for condominium association for design/construction issues on less than $50,000 in attorney’s fees billed.

Personal Injury
Result: Association successfully defended against a claim by an owner for personal injury sustained in a fall at an owners’ meeting that resulted from a physical struggle with Board President. Trial court awarded a take nothing judgment in favor of the association.
Medical Malpractice
In addition to his practice in community association law, Mr. Surratt has a background in civil litigation, to include medical malpractice professional liability claims. He has worked for several high-profile litigation firms. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Surratt was a certified paramedic and an emergency medical services training coordinator (U.T. Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas). He served on the advisory committee to the Texas Department of Health Emergency Medical Services Division. Upon graduation from college, Mr. Surratt served as a Medical Services Corps officer in the active duty Army as an instructor at the Army’s Academy of Health Sciences, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, and subsequently held command level positions in the Army Reserves.

Jason R. Reed was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2004 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Northern and Eastern District of Texas. He received his B.A. degree from the University of Arkansas in 2000, and his J.D. degree from the University of Tulsa in 2003. While in law school Mr. Reed was a clinical advisor in the Boesche Legal Clinic for the Older Americans Law Project providing estate planning and consumer legal advice to senior citizens and terminally ill residents of Tulsa County. Mr. Reed is a current member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, and the DFW Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (CAI).
