Tracey the reason why your dog was wet is because he will not sit still for the drying process. He has to be air dryed because he constantly bites at me and the dryer. Even with a muzzle on he will not sit still enough to allow me to dry him.and him being a German Shepard he takes a long time to dry! I think the statement that we need a new groomer just because your dog was damp is a little extreme. Especially when the reason is the fact that your dog is uncooperative.

I agree not to have grooming done at this kennel. The owner of the kennel should find another groomer. I will not get my dog groomed there again. He got a bath and was soak and wet when they returned him to me. I have not had a bad experience as far as the board. He seems to have been treated well. At least I am lead to believe he has. He doesn't mind going but he is always glad to see me when I pick him up.

Do not let this business groom your dogs unless you want your dog to be groomed how ever they want to do it. I gave very specific instruction on grooming my dogs and they disregarded my instructions. I have had my dogs groomed hundreds of times at various places throughout the U.S. and never have I been more disappointed in the service I have received than at Balmorhea. When I called to discussed my concerns with the owner, I was lectured, yelled at and then eventually hung up on. I am out over $100 and my dogs still need groomed. My advice is to avoid this place!

We have only lived in the area a few months and needed a new kennel. Our dog Arrow loved the only kennel he had ever been to in his lifetime.



We found Balmorhea and Arrow was a bit shy since he did not know anyone. He was so happy we returned because he was so well treated and loved. He has been back a second time and bounded out of the car in excitement! It is a fantastic place and they offered extra bedding since he is a senior citizen.



We are very happy with Balmorhea and most imporantly, Arrow is.
