Complained about mail carrier trampling my flowerbeds. Didn't receive any mail for a week and the following week my mail was delivered by a different carrier. Following that, the mail carrier returned and has faithfully walked across my yard every single day for the last six months....even when he doesn't have any mail for me. I've called the usps and complained multiple times and got several apologies and statements that the mail carrier is definitely not supposed to walk across the yards and flower beds. I called today though and the lady was extremely rude and said that the postal carrier could walk wherever he liked and the only rules were that they had to take the most direct route to the mailbox.
You must understand that I raise dogs, and every time he walks through the yard they freak out. I can't have this stressful environment for my family and pets. I fenced in my flower beds (which he has ignored) and am posting a sign requesting him to use the driveway to access my mailbox. If he does not comply then I will be forced to take legal action... Even though he is a postal carrier, law states that he is tresspassing if he does not use the provided sidewalks and walkways.
Despite the fact that he destroyed four rosebushes with his trompling about I have not asked for reimbursement.

I hope that my posting here has some sort of positive effect, and that this destruction of property and tresspassing will end.
