Sunset Ridge School is a learning center that is governed by East Hartford Public Schools, which operates various elementary, middle and high school and alternative learning centers. It serves more than 490 students in grade six. The school operates language arts, social studies, science and math departments. It also provides Title 1, gifted and talented, and character and technology education programs. Sunset Ridge School offers extracurricular activities, such as physical education, art and music. The school provides a variety of enrichment activities that includes cooking, magic, drama and literacy clubs. It also organizes several family nights and field trips. Located in East Hartford, Conn., Sunset Ridge School additionally provides meals, transportation and medical care.
