Brown's Transmissions

They have been the best place for repair service that I have ever used. Recently my radio was acting up and the dealer did not want to fool with it. Browns fixed it in about 10 minutes with no charge. They have also saved me Hundreds on brake repair and other jobs.

I rarely ever write reviews but hopefully this will save someone from making the same mistake that I did!! This place destroyed my car. Browns replaced the motor in my jeep and since then it's broke down at least 5 times. Not to mention they kept my jeep for a month to replace the motor. We had a hard time getting the same answer from them. The new engine rattled and they charged us $265 to repair the engine block bolts. Last time supposedly they replaced the transmission line. I picked my jeep up that morning and on my way to work it breaks down smoking to the point that I thought it was on fire. The tow truck driver said clearly it was not replaced or tightened properly. Browns told me that it was smoking from when the transmission line broke prior and all of that needed to burn off. They told us the transmission needed to be replaced . I decided to take it to another local mechanic Who said the transmission did not need to be replaced but the transmission pan had been damaged and the filter was crushed, pulleys had been broken and the new motor was leaking. I feel I have been more than patient with Browns shop and they have totally ripped us off! I'm a non-smoker and they clearly smoked in my car they got grease marks on the upholstery. After contacting them with proof that they didnt fix my car we spoke to Amy and she said that we were liars. We paid this place over $4400 and now paying another place to fix Browns mistakes!! The owner never returned our phone call instead had his front desk deal with it. Browns is dishonest in the way they do business!! Avoid this place
