Gary's Independent Subaru

So far so great! I appreciated the fair prices and how patient and thorough when answering my Many random questions! I also enjoyed the company of the office pup's! They were perfect little gentlemen and were very nice to have the company and entertainment! :)Plus, any friends of the Bros. of "Car Talk Radio" must be good friends to have in your garage! LOL! I had my son take his 05 Subaru to Gary after a local shop (highly rated, I might add....) started telling me that the car needed $25 Irridium tipped spark plugs. I called Gary to find out if the $430 charge sounded right, and boy, am I glad I did! I knew this particular car used platinum-tipped spark plugs and that the usual charge from a Subaru garage was around $40 for all 4 plugs. So, I figured the charges were inflated. Long story short, Gary made the necessary repair (gasket change and new spark plug wires) for less than half of what the other shop was going to charge. Gary is honest, a phenomenal mechanic, and a very nice guy. Your Subaru (or other Japanese-made car) would be lucky to have him!

I brought my 91 Suby to Gary. He was very friendly, upfront about his services and how much it would cost. He had it running the next day. I would recommend Gary's shop to anyone that owns a Subaru. I live in Southern Oregon and will drive to Eugene for all my Subaru services.

I would recommend Gary's Shop to any Subaru owner within a 250 mile radius. He is truly a Subaru Expert. He was very friendly and up front about what he was going to do and how much it would cost. He had my 91 Loyale purring like a kitten. Besides he is a Lefty.

Best Mechanic I Have Ever Had Gary is the best mechanic I have ever had. If you ever have anything wrong with your Subaru he will figure it out. I took my Subaru Outback to him for five years. The only reason I stopped going to him is because I couldn't convince him to move to L.A. to continue to be my mechanic. Even after I moved down he helped me out by telling me what questions to ask the mechanic here in Los Angeles. If I ever move back up I am definitely going back to him.
