Overall

Horrible experience at the actual location. Online booking was great. Had already paid for my week long reservation. When I got there the young gentleman was nice, he required my credit card, but wouldn't accept my card because it says DEBIT on it, even though everything was already paid for. He brought out his manager because she was able to override the issue, its obvious I am who I say I am.. I showed them my license, my SS card, other cards with my name on it, even a bill... She refused anyway, COLDLY. I couldn't believe they weren't going to give the car to me (what a nightmare!), thank goodness I found a Sears credit card that I never use in the back of my wallet. Then I asked where shall I park my car while I'm away, and the manager piped in and said if I leave my car here it will be towed. That's it? No suggestions? No pick up service? This seemed really insane to me, its not an airport location.. what am I supposed to do with my car?? WHAT an inconvenience,now I had to spend an hour driving around trying to find some safe place to leave my car for a week.. and relatively close so I could walk back to Budget... so angry at this point, I would never come back here again. I have never rented a car and was not allowed to leave my car in the lot. Finally a car lot across the street was nice enough to let me keep my car there.

As I investigated the car I mentioned some of the ashes on the car, he asked if I wanted him to vacuum, I'm not a compulsive person so I said "No big deal, thank you, I'm in a rush and I have a longggg drive ahead". Drove to Pittsburgh, Chicago, Milwaukee and back. Everything in one piece, I dropped the car off, the same manager went to investigate the car, comes back and says she is charging me extra because there are ashes in the car. I haven't had a cigarette since May of 2010 and very proud of that... I told her this, she did not respond nor show any emotion, she's just a cold stone lady. I also told her that I saw the ashes before I even left the parking lot, and the kid was there too and confirmed that I did say that, but she just completely ignored me. It was weird. I said, "If I smoked, wouldn't I have sprayed Febrese or something to cover it?" She just said to take it up with corporate. I said is it not possible at all that the ashes are just dirt or dust from the trip, but she continued to ignore me. It was really rude behavior. She didn't even say it smelled like smoke, she said there were ashes. She handed me the receipt, I'll admit I was angry I was being charged an extra $50, probably cause she saw what a great deal I got on the reservation. I sarcastically said, "THANKS have a GREAT day." .... she did not reply until I was to the door when I heard her sarcastic, snooty reply, "YOU TOO!" I would never come back here again.
