Beach Fender Mender

The worst automotive repair experience I have ever had! First of all, I went in with a simple door handle repair that the owner said they would handle for around $55. After waiting there for over 3 hours, and after the so-called repair man took my entire door apart, they were unable to do the installation. I agreed at that time to purchase a new door handle from them at the rate of $97 and change and told them I would return the next week to get it put on my car. After leaving the shop, my window fell through to the bottom of my door which was put back together with a twist tie and a piece of metal so I could open it. I could hear the window and many other odd and ends of pieces clinging and clanging inside the door. Unfortunately, I was not able to get back to the sop as promised the next week but did return to pick up the door handle I had purchased. The male owner met me at the door and I explained the situation. Immediately the owner got a bad attitude with me and was extremely condescending and rude. He made remarks about how I came in with my own part as if I was entering a steak house with my own steak! I explained to him that if that was not protocol for his business, then his wife should never have allowed the transaction to happen in the first place. Again, he acted very rude while he stammered away to get my door handle. I took it and told him that the service was unacceptable and the work was done haphazardly. He practically chased me out the door. Now, I have to find another mechanic to replace the car window that fell through the door and seems to be shattered as well as get the door handle put back on. Bad owners. Bad mechanics. Bad service.
