Porter's Electric opened for business in 1948 and has grown to serve as base of individual, industrial and utility customers. Mr. Heyward Porter owner and founder still serves as President of the company today. Over the years we have had three major expansions and now operate in a 40, 000 square feet facility.Porter's Electric services industrial electrical and mechanical equipment, such as: AC & DC electric motors, pumps and reducers. We also rewind and service transformers, coils, brakes, chucks and clutches. We offer fabrication of machine shop related items.Other services are: VPI service-96", dynamic balancing, load testing, welding, metalizing, field service and sand blasting. New and used equipment, renewal parts, and purchasing services are available through our inside sales department. Our company also offers power transmission products.Quality and long tern ) value are our primary service goals. SAI Global certifies our quality system to conformance with ISO 9001-2000. We are also certified to service UL explosion proof motors and we are a warranty repair service center for several motor manufacturers.
