They claim to accept my insurance but apparently that means they will take whatever the insurance company covers for an initial consultation to take 1 (whole mouth) x-ray and look into your mouth.

The dentist was at the chairs for less than 3 minutes and sent me to the business manager!

None of the prescribed treatment was going to be covered by my Aetna DMO dental because this dentist is a specialist not a "General" dentist and I would need to pay their entire reasonable and customary fees...

The nearly comical part is the office manager gave me 2 choices and started with the total of $1500 in both columns then built-in the number arbitrarily to add up to those numbers!

First, if you don't want to provide services within plan guidelines don't contract to accept the plan.

Second, don't welcome customers to your office and prescribe services solely based on your specific specialty if there are other options.
