Dr. Ung, originally from Los Angeles, graduated cum laude from Harvard University with her AB in Biochemical Sciences and a minor in Economics. Cindy earned her MD from Stanford School of Medicine and completed an internship in internal medicine at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. She was the recipient of a Stanford Medical Scholars Award and a National Institutes of Health Clinical and Translational Science Award. She was a research assistant at Oxford University and Harvard Medical School, and a Graduate Researcher at San Francisco General Hospital where she designed and led a clinical research study on glaucoma severity and medical adherence, leading to several first-author articles in publications such as Ophthalmology and the American Journal of Ophthalmology. Dr. Ung balances her work with extracurricular activities that aim to improve healthcare for the public, and has spent time in Peru and China conducting global health work.

Ultrasound

Reconstructive Surgery
Dr. Christopher C. Lo graduated from Harvard College with a Bachelors in Biology and Health Policy and earned his medical degree at Mount Sinai in New York City where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) national medical honor society. After graduating, he completed his medical internship and ophthalmology residency at New York University and Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Lo then moved to Los Angeles for fellowship training in oculofacial plastic surgery at UCLAâ€™s Doheny and Jules Stein Eye Institutes. During his fellowship, he specialized in eyelid, lacrimal, orbital, and reconstructive surgery. While at UCLA, he honed his facial cosmetic surgery skills at several top private practices in Beverly Hills. He is particularly interested in double eyelid surgery, facial reconstruction, and orbital surgery. Dr. Lo is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS), an elite society of 500 members specializing in cosmetic surgery of the eyelids and face.

Dr. Lo is dedicated to service, teaching, and research. He founded a free eye clinic while in medical school and volunteered on an international surgical mission with the Virtue Foundation. He has taught at various facial and orbital surgery courses, lectured at domestic and international conferences, published in peer reviewed medical journals, and authored several book chapters in medical textbooks. He has a teaching appointment and hospital privileges at the UCLA Doheny and Jules Stein Eye Institutes and the UCLA-Harbor Hospital, where he was awarded the Fellows Teaching Award in 2018. He is now involved in the ASOPRS-sponsored fellowship training program in oculofacial and cosmetic surgery at Eyesthetica.
