Middle Earth Nursery

This place may not be flashy but you will find a great selection of plants. When you go to flashy garden center you are paying a big price for the flash, you will not find those prices here. They have the same quailty and plants but half the price. There staff knows there stuff.

wonderful nursery. We needed three shade trees, and the selection was very good. They planted them and when one died that following summer, replaced within days of our phone call.

When I bought my first plant there I was not impressed. I went back last year and bought several plants and this time I am very happy with them. I plan to visit soon, as I have new gardens to fill and need many plants and trees (however at a small budget).

As far as the actual place; a little paint in the office area and asthetics and some more organization, it would be like other nurseries. As long as they are helpful and the prices are good the surroundings do not bother me.

Look forward to good help and selections soon.... looking now. I wonder if they can get plants they dont have on property.....

Granted the building looks like it is deserted and it doesn't look like much from the road and who knows what the hours are but go in. They have a huge variety, Only about 3 people work there but they will walk you around, answer questions etc. Very good sales and prices, also if you return the buckets the plants come in they give you a discount. We have gotten all of our plants and palm trees from them since moving here. We had two plants die and they sent someone out to replace them. Not sure why there are some negative review because the people are friendly, great selection, prices are great, service is fantastic. They get all of our business.

First, No it is not a flashy Garden Center. However, they have ALOT more to choose from than any other that I have been to. Everything they have to offer is pretty much grown from sapplings right there. That makes thier trees and shrubs climatized to the area. Not shipped in from a green house from out of state. Much healthier trees!



Second, The place is very misleading from the road. However it goes way back into the woods. And yes you can get lost. You may not be able to figure out whats what, but the folks that run the place know exactly what eveything is and where it is. They will spend as much time as you want with you. And trust me, they know everything about thier stuff. right down to the scientific terminology. They are very proud of thier work there. It's almost like they think the plants are human.



Third, They deliver and plant what you have picked out. BE PATIENT, there are only three of them working in there. It is worth the wait. I purchased four trees on Sat. they were calling to put them in on Fri. So expect about a week. The delivery and installation charge was extremely reasonable and worth it! they brought pleanty of fertilizers and composte to build up the soil in the holes.



Fourth. Yes they warantee everything.



So if you want a flashy garden center witha marginal product that may or may not live then go to Lowes or wherever. If you want a bare bones nursery to get some extremely healthy trees and bushes along with terrific PERSONAL service then this is the place. They have been there for thirty years. So they must be doing something right.

This place is ridiculous. They show a lot of pictures of the building (which btw typically has a sign saying NOT to enter it) because that's the only thing that even halfway resembles a business.. it looks nothing like any nursery I've ever been to in my life. It's about an acre of wooded area with no discernible order at ALL to it. Most nurseries are somewhat organized, this place looked like they hid some potted plants in the woods.. it was hands down the worst nursery I've ever been to. Half of the time I couldn't even tell if I was still in the nursery or not as it was overgrown in many areas.. muddy.. not kept up at all.. the "trails" were horrible.. not to mention tons of empty plastic planters everywhere.. there was literally a HILL of them randomly thrown into this madhouse.. Also it took me a few minutes to even find someone that worked there.. he couldn't answer my question and then walked off when I asked him another one (which is primarily what actually made me want to comment on the business in general). Better luck somewhere else.

Really got great palms,,,,,and the crew was very proficient. Would recomend anyone to visit the nursery,,,,,,,,,,,,,price and service can't be beat.

Bought six trees from middle earth. I picked out my plants and paid for them as well as delivery and planting. w e decided on a date and they never showed up. When I called they said they were to busy and that they would get to it later. Three weeks later they came with different trees, planted them and left. less then one month later all six plants died. I called again and told them, they said that they would have someone come out to check...no one showed up. I called again, they told me they came out and the trees were fine. they all died and middle earth would not refund me or give me new plants. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
