Tuscany's Pasta & Pizza

If you ever had any authentic Italian food this is not the place for you. The place is clean and my server Eileen was the best. She was honest and very service friendly. The bread rolls are good if they serve them warm. The place is never crowded and it is very spacious. I have visited 3 times asking for pasta dishes and pasta was way over cooked the meat and sauces appear to have been prepared or defrosted days in advance, the vinaigrette for the salad was way too acid. It appears the cook just puts together plates without never tasting anything they serve. The cannolis, well I have tasted better in the grocery store. they had no idea what pasta carbonara was. Definitely a no return.

My husband is super picky but loved the food. Everything was good, including the service! We will go back.

Went with some friends who said the restaurant was good. It was excellent--good service, friendly staff and super food. Will definitely come again. It was great to see the downtown area coming alive again---so wake up citizens and show support for this superior restaurant.

Just went here and am so happy that an Italian restauraunt has come to Grand Prairie again. Service was great, the waitresses were so nice and ver attentive. I got the Italian trio which was DELICIOUS! Go try this place, you will not be disappointed!!!

I work for a local company in Grand Prairie with a little over 100 employees. At lunch time believe it or not our review has made and broke some restaurants. This place is great!! The best service and best food in Grand Prairie proper. Within 10 minutes of setting down we are eating. Been three times now and tried something new each time. They are three for three. Love it and highly recommend.

My mom,husband and myself had to try this new resturant the other night. I love Italian food. We had shrimp fettuccini, grilled chicken fettuccini. The sauces were so flavorful and creamy. I had the chicken dish in lemon sauce. All three very very delicious. We are going back again tonight. I hope this place stays in business.

I've been waiting for a great Italian restaurant to come to Grand Prairie. We ordered a pepperoni pizza. I grew up in New York and Philadelphia. It was AWESOME! It was very fresh with an amazing crust and delicious sauce and cheese. We loved it so much that we're going back in 2 days for pasta on our anniversary. Welcome to Grand Prairie, Tuscany's!!!

My wife and I tried this restaurant for the first time tonight... and I have to say, it was absolutely delicious!!!! The pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce was a perfect blend of spices and tomatoes.... I have the chicken parmigiana, and the breading complimented the sauce perfectly. The parmigian cheese was not overwhelming, and topped off the dish delightfully! The bread was nice and heavy, obviously homemade, and tasted great both hot and cold. The salad was fresh and crispy too!!! Overall, as a lover of well prepared food, I give this place a 10 out of 10

My Wife and I decided to try the new place on Saturday at 7;pm. Large restaurant interior with tables and booths scattered throughout. Current top 40 rock playing loud, which if i were at the pool, wouldn't be a problem but at Tuscanys I would have thought something else more subtle. I ordered the ziti and meatballs with a single slice of pepperoni and mushroom pizza. My wife ordered the pasta sampler. My pizza slice came out looking like something that had been warmed up in microwave. The toppings were laying above the hard stale cheese and were loose. Everytime i picked it up to bite it, a mushroom and pepperoni would fall off. They should have discarded what they had in the litchen, made a fresh one, OR , just said we dont have any single slices right now. My wife's pasta sampler was 3 different pastas covered with tons of sauce and cheese in one dish. No idea what you are eating. She pulled the blanket of cheese off and could make out the lasagna but that was it. My ziti and meatballs were very good. Ziti was al dente, meatball were flavorful. Their meat sauce is very good also. All in all not a good visit. Someone needs to watch and inspect what comes out of the kitchen. I feel for the owner as this building has seen 4 restaurants come and go in the last few years.

A welcome addition to downtown dining! I ate at Tuscany's tonight on their second day of operation and was pleasantly surprised with the food. The pizza was very good, with a thin crust that is crisp on the edges and yet a little chewy - perfect! The pepperoni and mushrooms were fresh and delicious. Also tried the meatballs and spaghetti (the basics!) and the spaghetti was cooked perfectly al dente (not mushy!) with a fresh-tasting, thick tomato sauce, and two huge, moist meatballs - very tasty! It was accompanied by a green salad with a tomato wedge and a pepperoncini and a choice of dressings. AND there was also a big, warm, freshly baked roll with butter......a lot of delicious food for a reasonable price. The restaurant itself has been updated and is comfortable and clean, decorated with items of local history - very welcoming. The service was excellent and very attentive and helpful. All in all, it was a very positive experience, and we will be back soon. Welcome to Grand Prairie, Tuscany's! This is just what downtown needed.
