        Wonderful restaurant!

        The best food and service in Helen. I had my wedding reception there on July 18 2009 and it was absolutely amazing. From the beginning the owner Doina was so nice and easy to work with, she even let us design our own menu. Not being locals and having a destination wedding there, she gladly decorated the banquet room for us knowing we were rushed for time. Doina is very friendly and professional and you can tell she likes people. Her husband is the chef, and came out to meet us. He is just as friendly as Doina, and is an awesome authentic German food chef. (My Grandmother lived in Germany for many years, and says so!!) We were not rushed, and the wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. The banquet room overlooks the Chattahoochee River with many big windows. They even made sure to wash the windows that morning!! After a "less than perfect" wedding ceremony at the local "Alpine Wedding Chapel" (I'll rate them later), Hoffbrau's lifted our spirits! They did a great job and I would use them again if I had it to do all over.

        It was delightful! Great atmosphere, great service and wonderful food! A full package and a place to definitly to go back! We recommend everyone to try this exepcional place to eat!

The GI Germany Pub is designed with the authentic feel, as you would find in an American Pub on a base in Germany, right down to the green color!
