Historic Hollywood Beach Resort Hotel

This place is horrible... its dirty, the bathroom sink leaked everywhere, the toilet ran all night and the blowdryer didn't work. The chair broke and my mom almost fell on the floor. They have a portable air conditioner that is tucked tape to a nasty dirty window. There is nobody available to talk to, whenever you try to call the office, or maintenance or any extension it's always a busy signal. The check in area is in a complete separate building at the end of the block. They charged us over$300 for 2 nights plus $58 for parking and an extra $15 per day resort fee..HA!! Resort my ass... here are some of my photos.

First of all this place advertises as 2 diff hotels 1 being the historic Hollywood beach resort the other hollywood beach resort and cruise port and they go hand n hand w the Hollywood beach towers...first I called to see about an early check in and they said it would be impossible to check in b4 4 pm so it is what it is can't argue w policy then I called back to check about the parking, I already knew u had to pay I just needed to know where so they said to park in the garage and pay the 15 dollars a day....I arrived at 4 pm and paid for parking for the duration of my stay....got up to the resort which I paid to stay and wait in n line 20 mins to be told I would be staying at the towers which is next door soooo then I go stand in line 30 min there to find out their check in time is 3 annnnd they have free parking bc it's included in the over all price.when I went back to talk to the guy about the free parking he said well maybe the garage will refund your money....they didnt. The towers is a time share. The rooms were nice and after I got over there I was glad I was switched bc the resort looked so so bad. But now I'm staying at the towers and I'm paying the resort fee so I had to talk w someone for that...now I paid extra for an ocean view room w a regular queen size bed vs a room w a murphy bed and if u don't know what a murphy bed is its a bed that pulls down from the wall kind of like a pull out bed from the couch...not very comfy but when I inquired about the diff the towers said they only have murphy beds I said well that's tot fine but I expect a refund for the diff I paid....then they sent me over to the resort to talk w them...I never got that refund and don't expect I ever will...there was 1 elevator that worked...and u might think that's petty but it was miserable. ..in the lobby there was water on the floor, a man slipped on the water and busted a bottle and he had glass all in his knee...there was a worker that walked right past and didn't even give him or the water or the mess a second glance....the mall it is connected too....is a joke it's completely abandoned COMPLETLEY!!!! The pics this hotel has online....I'm not sure where they got them....I'm telling you it's a shame....there's something going on here and if it is as they say and the towers aren't connected w the resort how is it legal for them to share you personal and financial info with each other....just beware....stay at your own risk!

great place to visit. these guys were super attentive. they let my kids try everything in the store. and even gave us a discount. the young man and his father are the kindest duo you'll ever meet and even their technician Eric was very friendly. very friendly and relaxed environment for the young and old. they have all kinds of devices and gizmo's for all ages. i got to ride this electric segway and compare it to their trike. i am definitely going back and bringing more family.
