I bought a used transmission for my Honda Element which was installed by a certified mechanic but it never worked. I took my car to Steve's Transmission. They pulled out the transmission that I was sold and found out that it was a 5 speed transmission for an Acura RSX and not a 4 speed automatic transmission for a Honda Element. Steve's rebuilt my old 03 Honda Element transmission back in 8/22/2014. They towed my car from my home to their shop, explained to me what was going to be done and showed me what parts were going to be replaced which is rare at many shops these days. Fast courteous service. In on Friday and out on Saturday. Great price with a warranty. Two years pass and 33,000 miles later and still running like new with no issues. I couldn't ask for more. I would recommend to friends and family. Thank goodness there are a few good honest business people left in this world.

Serviced my car at Steve's transmission. they made wrong diagnostic first, that cost me a lot of money and time. After that charged more than promised . Didn't let me to do test drive before I paid. Was very aggressive and unfriendly at the moment I left the shop. Suggest you to Avoid coming to this place .

Overall

brought my Jeep to Steve's Transmissions on August 2015 to have the transmission rebuilt. I left my vehicle for a few days ,When I arrived to pick it up, I asked if i can try the jeep to make sure all good, but i was told that there was no one available to go with me on a test drive. There were three people in the office when I went to make payment, and they locked the door behind me when I entered. This made me uncomfortable, so I paid the bill and I left.

I drove the car a few miles when I noticed the transmission was still not shifting properly. I went to the shop and was told that I needed to leave the vehicle so they could check it out. About 30 minutes after I left, I received a call from the shop owner stating that I needed to replace a harness for an additional cost of $100, and that I owed him $50 dollars for "fixing" my AC. , he called me a liar and told me that I was "full of sh*t". and I should come get my car and take it to another shop, as if I had not already paid full price for his services. He was very rude and unprofessional, and his business practices are questionable.

I took the vehicle to another auto shop for a second opinion, and I was told that the transmission had not been rebuilt, as I suspected, and still needs to be repaired.

I paid $1,100 for a job that was not done. AND NEVER SOW MY MONEY BACK , I am recommending to run away from this place, the aggravation, inconvenience and much more not worth it ,this practice are BAD BAD BAD and need to be closed. ASAP
