Movers from Dr.Move were great at fitting all of our stuff efficiently! They were quick and very hard workers. Professional & confident in delivering great service we had expected.

I was referred to Dr. Move by a friend who had used them a few months prior and stated that they were reasonably priced and do good, careful work. Overall I was pleased with the company and the actual move. The office staff were polite, easy to speak with, prompt in returning calls and always followed up. The actual movers were polite, showed up on time, very careful when moving items and did not break anything or scuff any walls.



A few things I am unhappy about and make me question recommending Dr.Move to anyone.

1.) After taking inventory of all of my items and based on the driving distance the man in charge quoted me 6 hours and said it would only take 1 trip in the 26' box truck. I was under the impression that since he gave me a quote of ($129/hour flat rate for 6 hours + $50 trip fee + non cash fee of 5% + tax) to complete the move if they took longer I would only be required to pay the amount for which I was quoted. The job ended up taking 10.5 hours to complete and 2 trips! I had to pay $580 that I was not planning to spend. Several factors resulted in the extra $580 over what I was quoted,

a. One worker had no since of urgency or timeliness and was not pulling his weight the entire day

b. The team of 3 did not properly load the truck to ensure the most efficient use of space or proper weight distribution which caused the need for the second trip. (I was a mover for 4 years during college, there is a correct and incorrect way to load a box truck),

c. See #2.

Upon completion of the move, when he reviewed the contract/invoice with me I noticed that there was a "Not to exceed proposal (Maximum amount based on estimated time for transport" section which was blank and had a $0 in the box. Again since he provided me with an estimate before starting I assumed i would not have to pay more.

2.) On the way back from the first trip the driver asked me if I could get dinner for his team on my way back, which I was happy to do and he gave me cash. I decided since it was taking longer than expected, hot and tough work I would be nice and get dinner for them on my own dime. One of my family members followed them to the house so they could get to loading while I got them dinner. When I arrived they were sitting on the back of the truck waiting on food and wasted at least 30 to 45 minutes before I arrived and then took another 30 minutes to finish eating. Now that I’m writing this review I realize that no break was listed on the invoice and was not taken off of the total price.

3.) In the days before the move I had packed all items in boxes and clearly labeled them with which room it should be placed at the new house. I pointed it out before they started and they seemed to understand. When the next day I started unpacking I realized that with the exception of large non packed items and furniture they stacked boxes where ever it was convenient and with no regard for the label. It took me an entire day to sort it out. This could have been a language barrier issue but you would think that as movers you should know “boy room” “girl room” “Master” and so on in English or at least ask.



All in all I would use them again but cover myself upfront to avoid the extra costs and hassle.

I have used Dr Move 4 times now. Every time was great, but this last time was excellent. I picked up all of my packing supplies a week prior to the scheduled move date at their offince conveniently located in Las Colinas near Northlake College, and got busy packing. The girls in the office were super friendly, and helpful. Moving can be so stressful. I was greeted on time by a crew of 3 guys and a larger truck than expected which meant everything went in one load. :) The guys worked hard, and were diligent. They were helpful in the re-installation of my wahser/dryer, bed, and other things that required breakdown and later reassembly.

Dr. Move, you really did Heal My Moving Pains!!!

The display of incompetency of this company started an hour and a half late because the management was locked out of thier own building that morning and could not retrieve the paperwork needed to start the move. Not that I recieved a phone call to let me know this, I found out by repeatedly calling to see where the movers were. I had a specific item to move (350 gallon aquarium) that most moving companies had turned me down on. After 20 minutes of conversation with managers, they decided thier team could handle it as long as I agreed to a 3hour minimum and a four man crew. That still seemed fair. Whent he men arrived, they had no idea what they were moving. They were never told the difficulties involved nor the danger if this goes poorly. After 45 minutes of struggling to move the aquarium, we called it quits for saftey reasons. I called the company was told management was on vacation and that they were unable to change the contract. The movers ended up moving my one bedroom apartment three buildings down to my new location and charged me $500. The aquarium is still on the old unit a week later. I have called this company several times since to speak to a manager and they are still "out of town, no idea when they will return, no email, no phone number." Maria and Amanda answer the phones for them, but they claim no idea how to fix or change things. Oh, and they are so sorry that I was disappointed.

. im on dicabelaty and needed help last weekend to move. thay canceld my move order after i confermed with them the day of the move all i got from them was bad serves and the ppl that i talkt to was rude to me when thay found out i was on disabelaty. wouldent sugest them to any one that i know....

They arrived on time and were ready to go immediately. They were not phased by the 3 flights of stairs they had to move my things down. They were very professional and efficient. My things were delicately handled and there were no scratches left on any of my furniture or walls. I would recommend them for sure. They also had the best price in town and I searched a number of companies.

I made my reservation 2 months in advance and called a week before my move and they didn't have it! I had to rush and get all my paperwork in so I could move in time. Moving day comes and they never showed up. I never received a phone call to tell me that they weren't going to show up. I had to mobe all my stuff in the middle of the night in my car. And I had to borrow a friend's truck to move my furniture. We were moving til 1 am. When I called to speak to the manager about why no one showed up her only explanation was they must've been too tired to move and she was sorry. This was a HUGE inconvenience for me. I had to be out by that day and really didn't seem to care. I would recommend any moving company but this one. They're awful.

We were in need of moving our office and I found Dr/Move online where they said they help with office moves. The movers arrived with all the equipment, they dismantled our cubicles and desks, they seemed very knowledgeable and experienced in handling office furniture. We had forecasted 2 days for this move; we were all set up and ready to get back to business the very next day! Very efficient and took great care of our new modern style office furniture!

Definetly Recommend!

This would be our second time using Dr.Move and I'm glad we called them again to help us. We moved during the weekend of Valentine's Day. Juan and the crew came in around 9am. Dismantled our beds, washer and dryer. They took very good care of our furniture and followed instructions to the dot. Our 2 bedroom apartment was moved in a timely manner and I know they worked hard because we moved into the third floor. Needless to say I had the same pleasant experience as last year when we first used them. At a rate of $89/Hr it was definitely worth it as we did not have to lift a finger.



Highly Recommend!!!!!!

My mother was moving into assisted living and after my friend suggested Dr.Move from their previous move I hired them to come move her. We needed packing services and moving, as I had no time to get this done, the movers came early in the morning with all the necessary suuplies, packed and moved us for less than $400!!! It was such a relief to have Dr.Move help us with this, the crew leader Miguel was very professional and helpful. Thanks Dr.Move!!

I hired Dr.Move to move my 2 bdr apartment in Dallas, they have affordale prices and I got excellent services.

The movers were very polite and careful with my furniture, which they covered with pads, they disconnected my washer and dryer and kept a very professional attitude through the whole moving process.They brought a nice clean vehicle and all the tools needed to complete my move. I was very happy with their services and definetly recommend Dr.Move!

office staff was very nice and knowledgeable with every question that i had in regards to my move. Movers showed up on time on the day of the move and were very careful with all of my furniture. i have recommended Dr Move to everybody that i know. Thank you VERY MUCH DR MOVE...

Great company! They provided me with free boxes to help with my packing.

The moving truck was very clean, and they arrived on time.

Stephen and Pablo were very proffesional movers and wrapped my furniture, they disconected my washer and dryer at no extra charge, and disassembled my Poster bed!

I have a couple of friends moving soon, and they will be using Dr. Move because of the great job they did on my move.

i made my resevation right online with no problems. the office staff was very helpfull throught out the move process with contacting me to confirm everything with me. I recieved FREE Boxes, tape and more. Since i had not left anything off my inventory the MOVING PRICE NEVER CHANGED on the day of the move. Drmove padded and shrinked wraped all of my furniter at no additional charge. I would Defenitly Recomend Drmove to everybody

I just hired Dr. Move for my move at the end of Oct., I was able to get a price online & book my move, right from their website.

On the day of the move they kept the promise of my price not changing! There were no hidden charges!

Chris & his helper Julio did an excellent job, they covered my furniture and helped me with the disassembly of my bed, washer & dryer.

I will tell everybody about Dr. Move!!!
