I've been a patient of Dr. Patel cense 2009 and have been seeing him on a monthly bases. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my neck and arm issues. I feel that my trust and Dr. Patel"s trust in me NO other Pain management Doctor can ever compare. The other states I've been to have made me feel untrustworthy. I feel like I'm family when I go. Everyone is very helpful down to earth people from the doctors to the person you may only talk to on the phone and never meet!
My faith in their practice is strong enough that I've brought my husband in to be seen - as well as recommending their practice to anyone that

Dr. Sharma, and his entire staff are professional, attentive, caring, and easy to speak with. They listened to my concerns and went right to solving my pain issues. Although we are just getting started I am very happy with the urgency he is showing towards solving my problems.

Dr. Patel is AMAZING. He treats my wife, father in-law, and myself. He ACTUALLY listens to your problem unlike other doctors. Any other doctor barely even makes eye contact with you let alone listen to your symptoms. Dr. Patel truly cares about his patents wellness.

Was a patient of Dr.Sharma for several years. He is all about the money. I needed a epideral spinal injection immediately. He told me I had to see him in 4 weeks. I ended up in the hospital. He could careless. I wish him nothing but bad for the rest of his money hungry life.

I have been with pain and spin institute sence 2007 the first nurse i met was Nicole her profession and her bedside manners was outstanding from day one any questions and concerns i had she explained step by step she reassured me that they would take good care of me and that they would do everything in there powers to find a solution and to fix the problem with my back Nicole is just not my nurse she's a part of my family all ways tentative to every patient

Dr. Rajesh Patel is a LIFESAVER! He is one of the most thorough and caring doctors I have ever met. I have been seeing him for around 1 year now in Joliet and from day one he took the time to review all of my records before he even came in the door. He explains things to me on a level that I could understand and took time to explain all the decisions he made. He ordered a test that showed I had a pinched nerve in my arm and not in my neck like all the other doctors had told me. He saved me from unneeded neck surgery! and treated me with respect from day 1. I truly feel like I am part of the decision process every time I see him unlike other doctors that just tell you what they are going to do. I have recommended 2 family members to him and will continue to do so. I love his staff too, his nurse Dee is the best! I cannot say enough good things about this place!

Upon my initial visit with Dr Sharma, he seemed to be attentive and for his patients. (Work Comp case) My second visit, his tone changed. (I was referred from someone other than WC, so I think WC got into his head by the second visit)

Second visit, he did not seem to care. His back faced me the whole time. NEVER once looking at my injury. They called my case nurse for WC in and he specifically said," I see no signs of swelling." I did get an attitude and called him out considering he had his back to me the whole time typing on his computer and did NOT touch me in any way, shape or form.

On our way out, he decided to try a nerve blocker. (I am guessing to validate his care/charge to WC) He gave us a free sample.

I have come to learn if there is not some blatant sign from some test, 'specialist' will not do anything. They learn how to read these state of the art tests and after that, they stop being doctors. (This refers to more than just Dr Sharma, but he is definately in that catagory.)

If you have a Workmans Comp case, RUN! He is about their paycheck over your health.

Dr. Patel and all of Pain & Spine Institute have helped me through the roughest times. I appreciate all their help and effort. This office has the BEST STAFF AND BEST DOCTORS!!! I highly recommend Pain & Spine Institute.

Dr. Sharma is an excellent doctor. He takes his time listening to me and helps me understand how my treatment is going and what I am to expect in the future. His staff is great too!!

I am extremely pleased with the care that my husband received from Dr.Sharma, my husband has 2 bulged discs in his lower back impinging on his nerves, he was in really bad shape when he started with Dr. Sharma. It has been 5 years since his multiple injections and Radiofrequency Ablations and he is 98% pain free without invasive surgery and narcotic pain medication. The staff is great , really friendly and caring. Dr.Sharma took his time to explain every little detail, his bedside manner is rated in my book a 10+. This clinic is there to help the patient to get better and become functional again. Not just to stuff narcotics down your throat and put a bandaid over the problem.

Dr Sharma does not listen to his patients. You tell him you take 6 pain pills a day, he puts in his notes that you take 6 in one dose and that you have a medication addiction and need to see a specialist for medication managment. You go there for treatment for a certain area of your body and decides that he wants to treat you for another site which has nothing to do with the reason for seeing him. Two months later he tells you he doesn't treat for what you came for origionally. Then you have wasted time and money and he wants you to take a drug test. You say, fine, but you will not pay for it. Now, he refuses to treat you b/c he will not waive the cost of the drug test. If you go to Dr Sharma, you better make sure you read his notes before you leave and that they are 100% accurate. Do not hesitate to question why he wants to do a test on your back when you aren't even there for it. He is incompitent and does not listen to his patients.
