Taylor Jay's Tanning Salon

I have been tanning at Taylor Jays for many years now and I LOVE it. I was so thrilled to NOT be pressured to buy expensive lotion, and when I did want lotion they had lotions at every price level! Recently, when I mentioned there was a bulb out in the facial bed, I was told by the girl that they knew and were waiting for it to arrive. She also reassured me that it wouldn't affect my tan because of "reflectors" in the bed specifically for that reason, and I never did notice any unevenness in my tan! Within a couple days the bulb had been replaced! With friendly, knowledgable staff; attention and quick response to maintenance; and a no pressure sales attitude, I will HAPPILY continue tanning at (and referring friends to) Taylor Jays!!

I wanted to correct my last review. I had only given it 4 stars because online said they are only open on the weekdays. I have gone to the salon and have looked at their hours and they ARE open on the weekends so I give them 5 stars!

I bought a package just this past week and really have nothing bad to say. The people are friendly, the beds are clean and the beds seem to work fine. I gave it 4 stars because like someone else mentioned, they are only open on the weekdays (or at least thats what it says online) and I am not technically getting the full month that I paid for. I will probably continue to use Taylor Jays because its in a good location, not too far from my house and they have great prices compared to other places like Seattle Sun Tan who want $50 just for 7 tans, which is ridiculous! The prices on the lotions seem to be decent as well.

I recently purchased a package at this salon because I had just moved to the area and it was the only tanning salon near my house. I've never heard of a tanning salon closing at 7pm or earlier on a Saturday! My fiance is in sales and works weird hours and with little kids, its hard for me to make it there when he is not at home to watch them. I would think that they would at least be open until 8 or 8:30pm for people who are in the same situation as I am. Also, when calling them, they dont state their hours so I had to drive there to find out that they were closed which is a waste of gas! Next time I will drive the distance to go somewhere else!

I just purchased an unlimited package with the "facial" beds that are supposed to tan your face better? I paid $45.00 because they are having a discount, the original price was $60.00. Like the first person said, I don't think they change their bulbs very often. I haven't gone tanning in over a year and usually the first time or two that I go tanning, I usually get a little burn. I went for 10 minutes my first time, no burn or even any color for that matter... and then went for the second time for 15 minutes, again no burn and barely any change in color. I normally dont purchase tanning lotions because I have NEVER had a problem with getting good color after only a couple of visits. I decided to purchase a lotion this time and I am STILL NOT getting any color. Which is what leads me to believe that the bulbs aren't changed as often. If I were to go to my old tanning salon, I walked out of there with color my first time going. I will go somewhere else when my package expires.

It was just a regular bed, I tan in regular beds at Taylor Jays also. I asked today when I was at TJ's when was the last time she changed the bulbs in the regular beds, they couldn't answer that question. I see I'm not the only one on the blogs for TJ's that complain about the bulbs not beingchanged
