Overall

I had a leak in my power steering system and brought my car to Triz Automotive. The guy that seems to run the place is named Pedro and Pedro does not understand or speak English very well and as a public speaker myself I feel that I'm very strong in this category!

Prior to bringing my car to Triz Automotive I had taken my power steering pump out of my car to check and make sure that it still worked and yes it did so I put it back in but the problem was still there so I brought the car into the nearest automotive repair which happened to be Triz.

I was told by Pedro that I screwed it up and it would cost 200 dollars to fix my screw up and he also told me that the leak was coming from the connections that attach to the pump. After they took out the pump and re-connected the fittings that I "screwed up" they realized the leak was coming from a pipe that I had never touched. So in his very broken English Pedro told me that the leak was coming from somewhere else and that the repair would cost me 480 dollars, so I asked him if the total would be 480 and he told me "jes". When I went to pick up my car he charged me the 200 dollars for his screw up and the 480 dollars plus tax for replacing the 120 dollar new pipe.

If that was not bad enough when I went to pick my car up my car was parked nose to nose with another car meaning whoever parked it after fixing parked my car or the car in front of my car by the braille system! and if that isn't bad enough today is the day after the repairs and my steering no longer works in my car so they never fixed anything and it still cost me over 700 dollars and a day of work!

Overall

A friend recommended Triz 3 years ago when my old car was having problems - I went there, had a good experience, I remember being impressed with the customer service, honesty and fast efficient service. It wasn't too expensive and was completed within my work hours. (dropped the car off before work, picked it up on my way home) I have since bought a brand new car and have had no need for a shop, as it is still under warranty.



More recently, my grandparents (in their late 80's) were in town from Oregon, their 23 year old Lincoln (in excellent condition) was acting up, so I recommended they bring it in to Triz while I was at work. Pedro and Allen went completely above and beyond, they test drove the car and knew immediately that things were not right. They offered my grandmother a ride home to keep her comfortable and said they would take care of the problem.



The kept me in the loop - finding that another shop in OR had done an awful service when it was last brought in - spark plugs were gapped too large, the oil was 2 quarts high, and a number of other issues. They even found a mouse nest in the air filter cavity that they said had to have been there awhile.



They performed a complete tune up an just a few hours, and allowed us to take care of payment for my grandmother. The car is now running as good as new and we are all very impressed with the fantastic customer service that we received.



I would definitely recommend Triz automotive to anyone in the are looking for an honest mechanic with their customers best interest in mind.

I first went to TRIZ Automotive two years ago in 2011 and have been a happy valued customer since. The knowledge of the mechanic staff is impeccable! The Customer Service experience from start to finish - is astonishing! *Even meeting me door-side and helping me into the office! This means a lot since I am disabled - to be treated like a "Normal Person" !

Pedro the owner and his Mechanic staff not only are professional and humble - they are reputable and well known in the community! Some places now a days, especially with the economy will nickle and dime a customer, but at TRIZ they understand the hard times, and fix what needs to be, and in a timely fashion! This is really wonderful because you know that Pedro (Owner of TRIZ) really strives to run his business on honest morals give ALL Customer(s) the best price at ALL times! NO NEED TO WAIT - for specials or coupons like other places -or- go to a dealership and have things cost 10x what TRIZ Automotive can repair it for you!



I also appreciate the quality of the oil they use, ($28 for complete oil change) and the parts they use in fixing your car/mini-van etc. ($179 Brakes for most cars)



*They will beat any estimate, or quality of work any other place!



I tell you the truth, I know there are coupons or deals at other places, but when it comes to your transportation needs of your family/friends - they are precious cargo, right? So instead of trying to pinch pennies on a oil change or repair - take the extra time to find and locate this business! You can't go wrong! This is only area in our financial life, we can't afford to do wrong!



You know, there have been times that I needed more then an oil change, and Pedro the owner has driven me home and picked me back up - so I didn't have to wait in the mechanic shop! That is really going the extra mile! I hear now-a-days he even loans his van so customer's can get back and forth to their destination!



Goes without saying I 100% Recommend TRIZ Automotive - so write the following down! Put on your refrigerator, your phone, in your glove box, etc.

shotty work/false advertizing

i took my car here was under the impression it was still reyes auto. They had my car for over a month. I took my car in with just the intake manifold needing to be fixed. They called me back every week and told me that i need numerous new parts, and i told them not to put these parts in my car when i went to pick up my car they had put these parts in any way and told me i owed them more money. i took my car and it broke down at the light by fredmyer and would not run. they had to come and pick it back up, then they told me that it needed another new fuel pump after they had just put one in. I would recommend that any one thinking of using these people take your car and pay the money to go somewhere else.
