Dental Examination
X-rays
Dental X-rays are used much more than just for detecting tooth decay and cavities. Dentists also use them to survey teeth or bone anomalies, diagnose dental disorders and/or prepare orthodontic treatment. With dental X-rays, dentists can now perform these oral surveys without the need of direct visual exam, making the procedure comfortable and convenient for the patient.

Teeth Cleaning
We examine your jaw joint to help diagnose problems with your bite or TMJ. Sometimes checkups include additional treatments based on your individual needs. We review your homecare routine and give you advice on a good diet for maintaining good oral health and a beautiful smile. Regular checkups and teeth cleaning are important because neglecting dental conditions can lead to much more serious problems...
Fluoride Treatment
Since every patient is different, we carefully evaluate your individual results. You new smile will lighten about six to ten shades, on average. We may sometimes recommend a fluoride treatment, additional teeth bleaching at home or another session here in our office. We’ll also give you instructions for taking care of your new smile and for handling any post-whitening sensitivity. Power teeth whitening is a safe and effective way to give you a beautiful new smile in one appointment.
Dental Sealants
Tooth-colored fillings, also known as sealants, are special materials used to cover cavities. These fillings were traditionally metal-based and quite noticeable. Now they are made with materials like porcelain so they are far less noticeable and act more like natural teeth without feeling uncomfortable.

Fillings
Veneers
Veneers are thin shields made out of porcelain or plastic, which are used in chipped tooth repair/broken tooth repair, caps in teeth and stained/discolored teeth. They are designed to act and look like regular teeth and are held in place with a strong bond. This procedure usually requires two visits.
Crowns
The hard outer protective layer of the teeth is called enamel. The enamel is thinnest in the "neck" portion of the tooth where the crown meets the root. In sleep bruxism, the tooth becomes flexed and the hard enamel is sloughed off. With time, it creates a wedge shaped into the tooth. This makes the tooth more sensitive to pain and vulnerable to decay.
Bridges
This patient came to the office with a missing front tooth and felt very self-conscious when she smiled. We did a fixed bridge to replace the missing tooth. She finally felt comfortable smiling in public.
Dental Bonding
This young patient came in with two broken front teeth. We performed a composite bonding to these teeth to restore his smile to normal. This is a great temporary restoration until he is old enough for dental crowns or porcelain veneers.

Root Canal Treatment
Root canal treatment. This procedure is resorted to when the pulp is already damaged or infected beyond repair. Here, the dentist will remove the pulp from inside the tooth. To seal it, a special filling will be placed inside the tooth. Protective materials are also placed to protect the outer tooth.

Dentures
This patient came in with decayed and broken teeth. The best option in this scenario was to extract her teeth and give her a new set of dentures. She left the office with a new smile and her restored sense of confidence!

Dental Implants
The dental implant process can take up to six months to allow complete healing. Implants can replace a single missing tooth or an entire upper or lower arch, meaning all of your top or bottom teeth. Patients who have experienced both dentures and implants all agree that implants are far superior. To find out if dental implants are right for you, ask Dr. Kurian about an evaluation.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Tooth Extractions
Generally, tooth extraction creates spaces between teeth when one tooth falls out. The resulting gap created by the tooth extraction may not sound serious, but it can cause movement among teeth. The adjacent tooth tends to change its position as it moves and fills the gap.

Orthodontics
This patient came in with uneven and discolored teeth. We performed “instant orthodontics” by placing porcelain veneers on her six front teeth. We use Lumineers teeth enhancement in our office, which are contact lens-thin veneers that require very little tooth preparation. It immediately gave her a beautiful and lasting smile!
Invisalign Orthodontics
It typically takes nine to 15 months to complete orthodontic treatment with Invisalign, using 18 to 30 aligners. The time it takes to complete treatment will vary according to your specific circumstances. After a thorough exam and a review of your health history and lifestyle, we’ll determine if Invisalign is right for you.
Braces
Unfortunately, most of us are not gifted with such lovely teeth. Some of us are plagued with cavities and tooth decay, while others have widely spaced teeth. While cavities can be eliminated with frequent brushing, flossing, and professional dental assistance, widely spaced teeth are remedied by braces.
