Rude Staff, Outdated ambiance
I went to Oyster Bay in Lawrenceville with 3 of my colleagues during the lunch time. It was close to where we were & convenient.
A waitress by the name of Felisha came to our table & we told her that we have to be in a meeting in about an hour & if it is possible to get our food quick in 15 minutes. She said that they are not too busy & that shouldn't be a problem. We ordered our food and waited for 20 min. We called her and asked if she can check on our food. She very rudely, said "as soon as it comes out, I bring it to you, you are not the only one in the restaurant".
I was bothered by her reply, but let it go since we just wanted get our food & catch our meeting.
Another 15 minutes went by and now we have been waiting for 35 minutes. We called her again and told her that we really need to go, if she can ask the kitchen to speed things up. At this point she seemed very agitated, she responded: "if you want to give me that attitude you better leave now".
I was stunned & in disbelief by the rudeness of the waitress. I went to talk to the manger, but that was even worst. The manger was indifference & seemed did not want to be bothered. He did not say anything or even not offered an apology.
It appeared to me that we are dealing with a waitress who absolutely hates her job & doesn't want to be there. A manager who lacks professionalism and customer service & just doesn't care. At this point we just cancelled out our order and left.
These are definitely the people that they should not be in hospitality business since either they don't know what it is or they are just there to get a paycheck.
As far as the ambiance, not typical place I prefer. It is dark inside with a very old & out dated pub type atmosphere.
For the food, I wouldn't be able to comment on it since I did not eat there. But the attitude of the staff was bad enough to lose my appetite any way.

They have the BEST crab cakes! The soups and shrimp are great too! Very friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. We keep going back and it's always the best!

The crab cakes are similar to Dominick's, but smaller and high priced. The oysters are good, as is most of the food. Service is friendly and prompt, except Jake the bartender has a tendency to be judgmental regarding whether or not you appear intoxicated and will take possession of anything of yours on the bar to keep you from leaving until he deems you to be be sober enough -- for the good of the bar's reputation... however, he is an expert on this matter since he was charged with DUI and Reckless Driving on 09/08/2011.
