Gold's Gym

Management of the Layton Gym is the worst. I had no problems with the employees but the management is horrible. They are rude and take forever to fix broken amenities blaming delays on waiting for parts. I highly recommend finding an alternative gym and be forewarned this gym's management "family" owns several Northern Utah Gold's gyms. Don't join any of them!!!

Mediocre facility lots of subpar and old equipment, but real issues are (1) 50% more expensive than SLC network and (2) does not work with the SLC network. I live in Layton/Kaysville, but work in SLC so there are times I use a facility by my home and times by my office, but in order to do this with Golds, I have to have 2 separate and full priced memberships. Isn't that the point of having a network of gyms, so you can use more than one facility. Used to be a member of Xcel in Btfl and could use in SLC too, much better facility, more to offer and priced better. Bought some home equipment and gave up the gym as it was not worth my time and money anymore. Hello Xcel (come back!), 24 hour Fitness - somebody - we need more options in Davis County.
