One of the best resto that I have tried so far. I will surely recommend this to my friends and family who are looking for a good eats.
We were doing a little pub crawl down Vermont last night....but it stopped here. We sat at the bar with Heather from NYC. She was great fun. This place takes me out of LA. Very unassuming, charming...like my boyfriend said, it reminds you of the place you went with the family for your 1st Communion. (You Catholics know what I mean!)
As soon as we sat down at the bar, we had a few slices of pizza in front of us. We grabbed a table for dinner, and split the veggie lasagna. The cheese pasta sauce ratio was perfect, and the sauce is great. To his dismay, it was full of mushrooms. But, I enjoyed those, he picked them out, and LOVED this dish. Plenty to split. The traditional garlic bread and house salads are a great start as well.
I wish they had a better wine by the glass selection, next time I'll order a bottle. And we'll get the pizza next time.
The sweet bartender got us a slice of tiramisu to split, maybe to welcome me to the neighborhood? It was a really nice touch!
Overall, we'll go back again. On a cheat day. Heavy delish traditional comfort food. Glad we walked home.

This place is a landmark, a must for locals and visitors. It may not have the flashiest exterior or have the most sophisticated menu in town. It makes up this in atmosphere, pure fun. As you wait for your table to be ready have a glass of wine and listen for the owner to shout out your name and party number. On the walls are autographed pictures of obscure stars who have frequented the restaurant. The service is friendly and efficient. The food tastes home cooked.

One of the best dining experiences I've had since moving here over 5 years ago. Very cordial, knowledgable staff, who actually know how to properly serve a bottle wine table-side. Wine list is impressive. The protion sizes are lovely, and the food is authentic, fresh, and made with care. Definitely recommend reservations, as it is a small jewel of a place and gets full quickly.

Authentic Italian cuisine here! We had the gnocchi with meatballs and a pizza with pepperoni and sausage. It came with garlic bread and a minestrone soup. Everything tasted great. They also gave us a small slice of pizzarosa (their specialty) pizza as an appetizer. We went on a Thursday at around 7 and there was no wait. There is a parking lot in the back that is complimentary valet with validation from the restaurant.
Would definitely go back. It has a very homey, family-owned feel to it.

Everything on the menu is delicious. You can't go wrong with anything you decide to order. I like their salads they are light but filling. There chicken dishes are tasty too.

hard to find a parking spot, but where isn't it in LA!?
But worth finding it and coming here. They have exceptional Italian food. Has been here for many many years, and it's fun to see all the movie stars pictures on the walls who have visited (many times I'm sure).
The owner is very nice! There food is delicious and I alway have to take home my left overs because you get a lot.

This place has been around for years and it's a great casual family restaurant. We used to get the pizza slices to go and they'd pour us a glass of red wine while we waited. Now that's great service! The other dishes are fine but it's mainly a hearty family sitdown joint.

Great food with great service in a great atmosphere. Whether it's pasta, pesto, pizza, a meatball sandwich or a bowl of their lentil soup, their food is alway hot, fresh and tasty; their servers helpful and friendly; the prices right and the atmosphere like a big neighborhood festival. From cops to corporate execs to hipsters on dates and solo diners, it's like eating at a big family reunion.
