Town Fair Tire

The Manchester CT store refused to repair a flat saying I needed new tires because they said they could not repair the tire due to the location of the nail. I ended up going to my local garage that fixed the tire with no problems. This is the second time this year I had issues with a tire repair by Town Fair. I have been buying tires from Town Fair since then the 1980s for my 3 cars. I am now considering going elsewhere.

Not very happy with the service. I recently went into this store to have a flat tire looked at. I put the spare on myself and when I went to pick up the tire from being repaired they told me I needed a new lug nut because I must have stripped it in the process of puting on my spare tire!? I know I did not stripp it considering all 5 lug nuts were put on hand tight by me with no resistence from any. I think it was a case of the person not putting the impact drill on reverse and it was left in forward and overtightened till it stripped. I then went back recently to gave them a 2nd chance and had 2 tires intstalled. I was very clear that I only wanted 2 new front tires and an alignment done. I called back alittle while after I left to check when the car was going to be ready and was told in about an hour and all 4 tires will be all set!? 4? The person at the store then said they looked at the backs and they looked low so they were going to change them to. I recieved no call from them prior to them approving this!!! Good thing I called or else I would have ended with 4 new tires instead of the 2 that I only needed!!! When I picked up the car I asked if the alignment had been done as well as it is included and was told that it had not been done!!??? Next time I need tires I wil not use them again!!! This store needs to get it's act to gether and call people before authorizing there employees to go ahead and change tires that don't need to be changed and that were not authorized by me.
