Shoe Repair Plus

I took a brand new pair of $1300 Christian Louboutin Balota 150s shoes to Shoe Repair Plus in Aventura, FL in order to have vibram (red rubber) installed at the bottom of the shoe-- a standard service for Louboutin-wearers which costs $25.



Instead of simply adding the $25 vibram, Nick at Shoe Repair spray painted the specchio (metallic high gloss shiny reflective material) of the 150mm heel and platform of both shoes. I have no earthly idea why he would paint over a $1300 pair of Christian Louboutins. I did not request it, nor did I authorize it.



After several attempts to remove the spray paint over several weeks, Shoe Repair Plus gave up.



I understand that people make mistakes. However, I believe that, when a business makes a mistake, it should at a minimum apologize to the customer. At best, it should compensate the customer for the damages it caused due to its negligence. Here, not only did Shoe Repair Plus fail to apologize for ruining my shoes, they refused to offer any sort of compensation. Instead, Nick indignantly responded that the shoes looked "perfect," and that there was nothing else that they would do.
