I am a repeat customer of Concentric Components in Modesto. I've got to know Philip and his manager. In response to the previous comment, Newer High end Cars that need extensive repair, especially Mercedes, need to be taken to a specialized shop or dealer. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee. What do you expect to do that for free?

They give me good prices on parts and have a wide variety of used transmission parts. I am a shade tree mechanic and they help me trouble shoot, give me good advice and even show me how to fix or repair a certain part. If you didn't like their service thats fine, but giving bad reviews on the net is very damaging to their business and reputation. Now if you were ripped off or they weren't abiding by the law, yes by all means write a bad review.

You know, as times get tough, sometimes people (and businesses) change. Phillip was once a really "stand up" businessman, but he now has a shop manager that tells customers they can work on cars they are not capable of repairing. In this case, I was told they could get parts to fix a Mercedes transmission (dealer quoted $1,800..provied them with quote and diagnostic report from the local Mercedes dealer that I had paid for) and then they tried to talk me...or should I say my female friend, into a complete tranny replacement for $6,300! shop mgr. said he was mistaken...he COULDN'T get the valve body parts he told ME they had access to buy. When she came to pick up the car, Phillip demanded $75 for the preparation of the because his shop mgr. had "incurred overhead" writing up the bogus diagnosis!

FYI...took the car to Kruse/Lucas in Modesto...turned out to be a $250 filter and fluid change. They have no business working on newer cars...and they need to admit it!
