Overall

Today, my son, & I ate at Hook's Calabash Seafood Restaurant 1902 Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach, SC, ordered the flounder, & the shrimp dinners, off the menu, great quality, & very affordable. Gary was our host, & Veronica was our waitress, great service. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Overall

Seafood buffet is 30 dollars, and all you can eat Lobster added is just 13 more dollars.
I go to fill up on the all you can eat lobster.

That makes Hooks a very happy place for me.

This is our first time in myrtle beach and we are not accustom to the best seafood places. As we were driving around we stumbled across hooks. Wait staff was great and the Buffett had a large selection. The food was fresh and there was always someone bring new food out. We spent about $75 for two adults and a child. Will go back again.

Great food

We've been to Myrtle Beach three times and have eaten at 10 different places. Hooks is the best by far. The best wait personnel and great food. The price is also reasonable. Will definitely return.

Terrible!

I was craving seafood so my significant other and I ventured out to find some. I saw the big sign for "hooks" and I was hooked (haha) so we stopped. Let me just say the waiter was great..but the food..not so great. I could have had a better meal at mcdonalds. The meat in the crab legs was stuck to the shell, something I've never encountered before. The shrimp tasted like it had been sitting a while, and the place was busy! All I can say is never again and stay away!

We have been going to Hooks si...

We have been going to Hooks since 2004, when the clams had not been delivered and the owner cooked the last bag for us and brought them to our table with hot melted butter, because we were craving clams. Every year since that we have been to MB, (all but 2007 and 2010), we go to Hooks. The other "all-you-can-eat" seafood buffets may be large, but they do not have the seafood variety and quality of Hooks, and the price is right. We will be there in 2 weeks, and I will again rate this restaurant when I return.

We love this restuarant.

We visit this restuarant every time we are in the area, at least one or more times a year. The wait staff does a very good job. The food is always hot and very good. We have never had any problems at Hook's. We have visited several other of the seafood restuarants in the area, and none were better than Hook's. We love the steaks that are cooked fresh, the way you request it. The manager recognizes us when we visit the restuarant, and that surprises me seeing how many customers visit the restuarant in a day, week, month, or year. In my opinion, it would not be a vacation in Myrtle Beach without visiting Hook's.

Not Recommending... Sorry

So we were craving seafood... headed out... found Hooks... went in atmosphere pretty ok... nothing too fansy... seated right away hardly anyone there... figured because it was a Thursday night... Ummmm NO... it was because the food SUCKED... the wait staff was Wonderful... our waitress was great couldnt ask for better service... the buffet was the only option... nothing on the menu for individual eatings... the only thing i enjoyed was the salad... and im a big seafood eater... love it... I WILL NEVER GO BACK... me and mine agreed this was not what we expected from a Myrtle Beach restaurant. Sorry thumbs down
