Overall

On august 25th I was involved in an accident that resulted in damage on my passenger side paneling, my passenger headlight removed in the crash, and the front bumper destroyed as well as a loose radiator bracket. All cosmetic damage, nothing too serious. I was told by a few people to use Truett’s auto Collison. A decision I deeply regret. From the start it was chaos. Having to call them 3 times before even getting a tow truck, I waited for almost 3 hours for my car to be towed… a drive that takes at the most 45 minutes in heavy rush hour traffic. Once the tow truck arrived it was another two days before I heard from Truett’s- in which they left a short message telling me what damage was done and how much money I would owe them. I signed the papers stating I would pay my deductible to them, and received two separate text within the following days saying my car would be done at 4 on the 2nd of September. As I arrived they acted like I was crazy for expecting my car to be done so soon, and when I presented them with the text that INCLUDED THEIR NAME AND PHONE NUMBER they claimed they didn’t send it, the insurance repetitive-Cameron- they have ON THEIR PAYROLL sent them. I talked to him, and he didn’t know why the text were sent. I spoke to the general manager, at this point highly upset because I had turned my rental car in the night before and was without a car now. This man was as rude as could be. From the start accusing me of thinking they were being spiteful and not offering any type of sympathy when I began CRYING because I really didn’t have the money for another week of a rental car (it wasn’t covered in my insurance) he told me that it wasn’t their problem, I had been towed in and they didn’t have parts. Sparks Toyota is right down the street. 5 miles maybe…. Not terribly far. My car is a 2006 Toyota corolla. PARTS ARE EASY AND CHEAP TO COME BY! I didn’t need any engine work done, no fluids were leaking, nothing that had to be operated on. The general manager claimed it was like me going to the emergency room, they wouldn’t have had my operation scheduled. To which I responded, yeah but they have supplies. I was an emotional wreck because I’m a server and a college student. I am tight for money. I would be missing classes and work shifts in the week to follow if I didn’t have a car. This “business” was not compassionate at all and even blamed me for suspecting them. They acted as if I was insane for believing the text that had their company name on it. When I asked them if there was anything they would do they laughed. I received my car back on September 10th at 4:30 and I will never be using them again.
