080720. BUYER BEWARE don't buy from here and get MaxCare They are a Lemon!!
No empathy or flexability from Pat (Service Manager)
on their warranty through the tornado and Coronavirus shut down. With the Covid virus Carmax was closed 4 weeks and down to limited staff, but now that they finally fit me in for for an appointment (now over the milage) the issues I've been complaining with aren't covered.
These folks, in my opinion, are bottom line, customer last.. $4,400 out of pocket!!

I used the website to make an appointment to test drive a few cars. The team at the store is friendly, helpful, and know their cars.

Centrally located, this Carmax offers a massive selection of cars. I picked up one of my current vehicles here and it went fast, professionally and to the point. Use the website to find what you need!

Have bought a car and a truck here. No problems with the car. Had it for years. Have had some minor problems with the truck but nothing big.

If you haven't tried CarMax for a used car, give it a try. Trade in value was higher than Kelly Blue Book. No haggle purchase price. Lots of cars coming back off leases. Many to choose from. My experience has been excellent.

Nightmare, that is the best way to describe dealing with Carmax Nashville. They sold us a SUV for about $23,000 that has been in an accident, was not properly repaired and the accident was not disclosed to us.



We bought a 2012 Ford Explorer with 18,500 miles on it. Almost immediately we realized that every time it rains water leaks into the SUV. That plus the weather stripping was ripped up and the door had issues closing. Took it to Ford cause Carmax's service department said there was nothing wrong with it. Ford informed us within about 10 minutes that the car had been in an accident and they couldn't fix it because since the car had been in an accident it was no longer under warranty. Ford also informed us that the vehicle had never been fixed properly and any mechanic looking at the vehicle would have been able to tell that it had been in an accident.



Well After months of dealing with Carmax's service and sales department they finally informed us that they don't believe it was in an accident because the carfax is clean. Then why did you try fixing the vehicle multiple times including sending it to a body shop, twice! This vehicle was a fleet vehicle so any accidents are not reported to carfax, apparently this is common knowledge and the carfax website states this. This is the legal loophole Carmax uses to sell vehicles that have been in accidents. Even though 3 mechanics told me it was in an accident they play dumb and say it wasn't. If you look at the side of the SUV you can see it was repainted! I told them we would have never purchased a car that has been in accident (would you?) and we want another comparable vehicle like the one we purchase. They just keep playing dumb and finally have informed me that they will not replace this lemon. And after taking it to their service department numerous times over about 4 months they clearly are either not willing or capable of properly fixing the SUV.



I cannot express the outrage we have right now. This place sells vehicles that have been in accidents without telling you of this and they are a nightmare to deal with. Stay far fat away from this place!
