Burton City Towing

I have used this company exclusively for the past 10+ years and recommended it to family and friends. After an accident totaled my car, the driver told me I would be charged $100-$150 for the tow due to it being a police call. Knowing the car was totaled and I would be selling it to the tow company as scrap, I expected to walk out of the office with at least some cash in hand (estimated $300 for the car minus $150 for the tow). However, when I went to sign over the title, I was told the charge for the tow was $240 ($150 hook-up charge, $10 mileage, and $80 for 2 days of storage, even though it was only 15 hours total) and that they would accept the title in lieu of payment. When informed of what the driver told me, she said that he should not have quoted me that, but would not honor her employee's quote. Only other choice was to pay the $240, have the car towed out of there at an additional charge and try to sell it privately. Will not be using this service again.

This company is horrible!!!!! After having my car towed by this company the driver threw away a part of my car without my permission, then when I called to ask where the part was he lied and said I knew he was throwing the part away. In the end I had to purchase a new part the was not even broken on my vehicle. They were rude, unprofessional, and treated the problem as if it was my fought. I will never use this company again and in return I will be post a review on Facebook and as many website I can to prevent this from happening to some one else....
