On July 6th 2012 I brought in my Colt Sistema Model 1927 to be re-blued and to have new sights installed. The drop off went well, Dan (Owner, I think) was helpfull, we discussed the finish and the type of sights I wanted, they even showed the re-blued finish on a gun they were currently working on and it looked really nice so I left there feeling confident. They were very expensive but I figuered the high cost will warrant a really great product. 1 month later I get a call from Scott (Gunsmith) and he said he was going to start working on my gun and it should be done within a few weeks....I was originally told it would take about 2 months so it sounds like things are on schedule, "ok". 1 month later I call to follow up, i was told 2 more weeks...I said "ok". Another month later 10/5/12 I call to follow up, "just doing some final details, should have by end of the week". 2 weeks later I call again, same story "by the end of the week". This went on 2 more months, I was pissed, every time I called they would make excuses and never would tell me the exact truth as to why my gun was not done. For the last month they were supposedly waiting for bushings, a $10 part that is very common and stocked every where, "were waiting for UPS, any day now" really???? Finally after many phone calls of me complaining it was finally ready. When I picked it up 12/14/12 I was very dissapointed, I decided just to take it and leave, it took them nearly 6 months to deliver below average quality work, I do not trust them to try to make it any better. The re-blued finish was horrible, there were spots all over the slide which they blamed on the gun! "those spots are in the metal, its just the way it is made" ...it was'nt like that when I brought it in! They polished it so hard that they removed allot of the original engraving. They put the wrong sights on!! I asked for NOVAK tritium night sights, unfortunately I did not know that NOVAK offers different styles of night sights for this gun, they did not bother to offer/inform me of the different options they just put on the ones that were the easiest to install. 1 week later I went to the range to test it out, after 10 rounds the rear sight was sliding off! 3 rounds later it finally fell off! Really?? Turns out they did not put lock tight on the set screw that hold the sight in place and also the sight did not fit tightly into the machined cut on the slide, it was loose and rocked back and forth. I called NOVAK and they said they can put the sight I want and machine the slide properlly for $150 and it would be done in a week! I'd rather do that than have these guys keep my gun for another 'who knows how long' and to receive more crappy craftmanship and excuses. Avoid these guys!!

IT HAS THE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! THEY CANT MEET DEADLINES AS PROMISE!! NEVER ENDING EXCUSES, EXTREMELY RUDE OVER THE PHONE WOULD TALK OVER YOU AS YOU TRY AND EXPLAIN YOUR SITUATION OR AS YOU TRY AND ASK THE STATUS OF YOUR RIFFLE. IF YOU WANT YOUR RIFFLES TO GET FIXED ON A TIMELY MANNER SO IT WOULD RUINED YOUR HUNTING TRIPS GO SOME PLACE ELSE WHERE YOU WONT HAVE THIS TYPES OF ISSUES.
