Spotting System: XL Towing staff will be assigned to periodically watch the lot for parking abuses during peak times. When a motorists is witnessed as being in violation for either leaving the property, parking in a fire lane/handicap etc.. the nearest tow truck will be dispatched to have the vehicle removed. All violations are photo enforced and kept on file. This type of system is often the most effective and is frequently used for high congested areas where parking abuses are rampant and for businesses where parking is very limited. Once a violator's vehicle is removed from the property, there is a low probability of the same motorist parking in violation a second time. 2. Patrol System: Lots can be set up for 24 hr patrol or during designated hours ( ie.. after hours or overnight ). XL Towing staff will periodically patrol the lot for unauthorized parkers. Parking permits are available free of charge to all of the properti es we service. 3. Call System: Parking violators will be removed only upon receipt of a call from an authorized agent from the property. Under the authority of the Illinois Commerce Commission, XL Towing is one of few companies licensed to conduct private property towing. U.S Postal Service semi rammed into me yesterday at 63rd and 90/94. XL towing was called by my insurance company. They called right away. I told lady that I think I had glass stuck in my throat. She said not to worry about car, that they would take care of, and that I should call ambulance. Police came to hospital to check on me, and told me that XL took care of everything. I am happy for my insurance agent, and happy that strangers really do care!

Provided by DexKnowsDONT LISTEN TO THESE REVIEWS THAT WERE OBVIOUSLY WRITTEN BY THEM,I BET..IVE TALKED TO MANY DEALERS,MECHANIC SHOPS,THESE GUYS WILL TAKE YOUR CAR TO A BODY SHOP AND COLLECT A FEE FROM THE BODY SHOP FOR BRINGING YOU THERE WHERE YOU WILL GET STUCK WITH A GIGANTIC BILL JUST FOR THE BODY SHOP LOOKING AT IT.THEY WILL RECOMMEND A SHOP TO YOU,BUT DONT TELL YOU THEYRE ON THAT SHOPS PAYROLL..AND THEN THE SECOND CAR,THEY CAME TO BUY IT AND OFFERED $1000 ON THE PHONE AND CAME OUT AND STARTED LOWBALLING SAYING THEY CAN ONLY PAY $400!IT WAS A 2003 CAMRY!THEY DIDNT NO I JUST GOT IT BACK FROM THE SHOP WHERE THEY TOLD ME I NEEDED STRUTS,SPRINGS,AND MUFFLER.THE TOW GUY SAID THAT THE ENGINE IS BAD!LOL!I SAID WHY U SAY THAT??HE SAID ITS GOT 150K ON IT,ITS NO GOOD.YET CAMRYS ARE KNOWN TO HIT WELL OVER 250K,SECOND,THE ENGINE RAN FINE!I TOOK IT TO THE MECHANIC WHO DIDNT KNOW I WAS JUNKNING IT,AND HE BOUGHT IT FOR $1700 CASH.GO FIGURE.A MECHANIC BOUGHT IT.HE SAID MY ENGINE IS TOP NOTCH.HE'S GLAD I USED MY HEAD AND CALLED HIM 1ST.$400 FOR A 2003 CAMRY?THAT WAS LAST STRAW.1ST THEY GOT MY SISTERINLAW BY TOWING IT TO A BODY SHOP WICH SHE DIDNT EVEN WANT TO DO,BUT THEY TOLD HER ITS BETTER TO GET IT LOOKED AT RATHER THEN WAIT FOR THE INSURANCE COMPANY TO COME OUT.THEN THEY GAVE HER A $1250 BILL FOR INSPECTING IT AND TOWING CHARGES.YES,THATS RIGHT,THEY DONT CHARGE YOU TOWING WHEN YOU GO TO THEIR RECOMMENDED BODY SHOP..
My morning royally stunk as I started the day with a brand new car that wouldn't start. I first called the dealership who gave me their towing company's number, then I called my insurance agent to ask if I had towing insurance. Guess what? They gave me the same number to the same company. Strange, but kind of a nice feeling knowing that two consecutive reputable agencies recommended the same company for service. Well, they were really nice, really responsive and really professional.
I'm happy with Honda City, my Farmers agent and XL Towing.
Pretty good day afterall.

Provided by DexKnowsMy car wound up in my neighbor's back yard last week. My crazy g-ma forgot which pedal was which and manage to jump the curb, run over some bushes and landed on top of a tree stump in the neighbor's back yard, which is fenced in the back.Dismantling the fence was a major feat, so when XL Towing came out they scatched thier heads a bit, then called in the big guns. They actually lifted my little Honda Fit off of the tree stump, over the fence, and placed in directly onto a tow truck. WOW! I wished I had taken pictures because the whole thing was very cool!When I told the body shop how they got my car, they told me that is one a alot of reasons they use XL Towing. Oh, and grandma is just fine.

I can't believe how good XL Towing was while rescuing my wife from a manhole-induced double tire blowout. Not only were they there within 10 minutes, but the dispatcher--who was astoundingly friendly and helpful--took it upon herself to help me find a tire place near my house to take care of it. Can't say enough good things! Please, please, please use this company if you have to.

Yeah, I was a mad at first, but I'm the one who was in too big a hurry to follow simple protocal. Went to get my car out of hock, and was actually treated very nicley. Overall, I'd have to say, I learned a very valuable lesson that was forced by my cheating the rules. Anyway, almost a year to the day, I got into an accident with a druggie who was too busy lighting up, he neglected to see the red light. I called a body shop I'd used in the past, and they said to call XL, and that they use them exclusivly. They were there in less than 20 minutes. The guy driving the truck was very nice. He got things cleaned up, put my car on the truck, and made me laugh the whole trip to the body shop. I met them on a not so happy camper note (of my own doing), and was reintroduced when I really needed some reassurance and help. I guess they wear alot of hats, and it seems as thou

Provided by DexKnowsMy State Farm agent referred me to XL Towing when I broke down off the 290 in lets say - not the best of neighborhoods. They told me it was be 15 minutes before a truck arrived so I opted to walk down to the diner to use the bathroom. By the time I got back, the truck was already there. I could not have asked for better service. I will be using them for now on.

Provided by DexKnowsA competent dispatcher, a literate tow truck driver, and an affordable price, what more could you ask for? My car wouldn't start due to the extreme cold, and my insurance roadside assistance was quoting me more than 1 hr. for service. so I searched for tow service on my phone, and found this gem! A truck was to me in 20 minutes (good thing too, or I'd be an icicle) and not only jumped my car but stayed a little bit after the jump to make sure it wouldn't stall out again. I can get reimbursed by my insurance company, so will definitely be calling XL Towing if needed in the future!
At the recommendation of my insurance agent, I contacted XL Towing when my son broke down on his way back from college. As a typical tennage kid, my son failed to plan for the worst. He had a blow out on his car with no spare tire or spare cash in hand. To make matters worse, it was 2:30 am and I didnt think we would be helped. XL Towing not only arrived to my sons vehicle in less than 15 minutes but they also took him to a 24 hr tire facility and advanced the charges for a new spare/replacement tire (as the tire shop did not accept credit cards). I cant thank them enough for their prompt response, their professionalism and going the extra mile when my son was in need and my nerves needed calming. I highly recommend anyone in the Chicagoland area to use this company. They put all my previous beliefs regarding the towing industry to sleep. Thank you XL Towing and thank you State Farm for a great recommendation.

Provided by DexKnowsBroken down the night before Christmas Eve. My State Farm agent gave me the number for XL Towing and they were kind, expeditious and very knowledgable. I was home in no time and even got a free diagnosis of the problem with my car which the driver showed me how to fix myself with the proper replacement part. Thank you XL Towing, I can see why State Farm recommends you.

Provided by DexKnowsOn-time, Professional, Reasonable, and Gentleman-like Drivers! I have used this company twice over the last two years (by my insurance company's recommendation). I never thought I’d say this, but breaking down has never been such a pleasurable experience! When I called for my second tow, which was a terrible accident, the dispatcher (who I take it is the owner) recognized my voice from over a year ago. She settled me down and made me feel like everything was going to be OK. SHE WAS RIGHT! Amidst the predatory, scanner-carrying accident chasers, emerged a kind soul who addressed me by name and brought me the comfort I needed at this freakish moment. The driver took me home, stored my mishmash of a car, and delivered it to the body shop the next morning. I was also pleased to hear from my State Farm agent that the tow bill was very reasonable. Thank you XL for once again coming to my rescue!

They were the friendliest and most competant towing company I ever had. Rest assured, my jalopy car has broken down more than I care to admit (but cant bring myself to spend the money on a new one). Although they managed to get my car out of the garage and out onto the street and could have easily towed me back to Bolingbrook (as I wouldnt have known any better) but instead, the driver got under the car, wacked the starter 3 times and I was up and running for half the price. Finally, an honest and reliable towing company. Thank you again and yes, I got that starter fixed.
After waiting on my roadside company, which was over 1.5 hrs late, I finally gave up and a police officer recommended that I call XL Towing and Im glad I did. They were there to get me off the highway in less than 15 minutes and even diagnosed the problem with my car so that I wouldnt be taken advantage of at the repair shop. I cant thank you enough. By the way, did I mention the dispatcher was awesome.
