The women over there is very talkative but overall she is very very good. She doesn't pull too tightly and my head for the first time in years is no longer sore.

I like this women and think other people should go and support her. She listens and doesn't try to impose her ideas on you. My cornrows came out well and that's all that matters to me.

She's my favorite hair dresser by far. She works quickly and efficiently without wasting time like many other hair dressers that I've been to in the past. Many other hair dresser try to impose their opinion on you and I wasn't for it but I realized that she respects your opinion.

I went to get kinky twist and the results were amazing. It took some time to get settled but once she started everything went smoothly. As she was doing my hair she told me everything that she was putting in my hair and ensured that I approved. 2 months later I took out my hair and saw a great deal of growth. I recommend her to everyone and will for sure go back.

Bad Hair Style Worse Customer Service

If I could rate zero stars I would. I had a very bad experience with this braid shop and would NOT recommend anyone going there. First let me say I keep my hair braided at least half the year and have done so for years. I have NEVER complained or disliked the workmanship before now. I am going to do my best keeping this short. I wanted to get Tree Braids and this shop was the only one in the Charleston area that I could find who did them. I went to my appointment and the braider did a really bad job. She used 5 bags of hair (I usually only need 3 at the most). The cornrows which are suppose to be invisible could be seen clearly all over my head if I wore it down and she braided both sides of my hair in two different patterns which was too obvious if I wore it up. There were other issues with the job but I am trying to keep this short. Keep in mind I received this style when living in another state so I KNOW her job was poor. I complained to the owner and she wanted me to come in the next day during the week to fix it but I couldn't lose time from my job. She was too busy to re-do it the next weekend becaue obvioulsy getting more money from other clients was more important than satisfying one that had already paid so we agreed to do it the following Saturday, almost 2 weeks later. I would need to buy new hair and told her I felt I should be compensated for half of it. I was clear about that from the get go.

I confirmed the appt the day before my appt but when I get there at 7am the next morning the lights are off and the door locked. I had to call on the phone to wake her up! She opends the door and doesn't brush her teeth or wash before she comes down to assist me. She is confused why I am there, thinking I was someone else. Not trusting her any longer at this point I remind her about getting reimbursed for the hair. Long story short she wanted to only give me $15 for the hair when I paid over $75 total. I was only asking for $30. She argues with me that I should have come in the next day and I countered that I could not and if her stylist had done a good job the first time there wouldn't be an issue and it wasn't fair she expected me to incur all the cost of her poor workmanship. The girl who did my hair comes down and they rudely talk about me in their language in front of my face! I got my money back for the style and $30 I ask for and left. She didn't want to do my hair anymore and left me in a bind on a Saturday with no way to get my hair done. I had to wear a wig until someone else could do my hair a few days later. Someone else had complained that first day I was in the shop about their style quality as well. Please save your time and money and not go to Mimi's.

I wish I read the reviews prior to patronizing this salon 2 weeks ago. I experienced the same response when I inquired of the Sengalese twists $180 then charged $220. I did not like the atmosphere nor the idea of watching Nigerian television and listening to them speak to each other the entire time. I was in the chair for 10 hours when I finally asked for a break...I was starving! Hesitantly, she breaked and asked me how long was I going to take. I also didn't like that they were cash only...which I was not aware of until I noticed someone else paying in cash...when I inquired of a debit card the young lady shouted "Oh No...Cash!" I would not recommend. . .

I called before I came for pricing and was told 180 for Singhalese twists. When I get there they say 220. After one month the twist looked terrible. I went back to get them re done and they tried to charge me$30 a row! Then argued with me when I told them I think the twist should've lasted longer than a month. They then began talking about me in French and laughing. I ended up paying 65 to get two rows done over. The service is terrible. They come down when they want fresh out of the bed and mislead people.
