Merchant's Tire and Auto Service Center

We continue to bring our cars here for multiple reasons: fair prices and great service. Most of all, we really appreciate their honesty. Several years ago, the "Service Engine" light came on. Merchant Tire looked at the car and suggested I bring to the dealer (charging us nothing for the recommendation). The dealer couldn't figure out the probelm, but charged us +$450 for their time. I took back to Merchant Tire. Although they couldn't guarantee the results, one of the mechanics suggested it might be bad gas and suggested turning the cap a few times. I wrote the GM headquarters, who said that pressure sometimes builds up in the engine, especially due to ethanol. Viola! Now, I only fill up with a specific brand. No more problems.

These guys have cut me breaks on the cost of repairs, they've fixed a tire at no cost for my wife, always call me when about to do any work on the car, and several things I just can't remember now. Customer service is great. I continually go back. No sense in changing mechanics.
