Dental Examination
Dental exams are often scheduled every six months, but we may recommend visits that are more frequent depending on the patient. We use these exams to detect early stage dental problems, and to identify more severe issues.
X-rays
We use digital x-ray technology that uses up to 80% less radiation and a crisper picture than dental x-rays of the past. We view the images from a computer monitor, rather than film. Sealants are a non-toxic, composite resin material or plastic that your dentist at Smile 32 Dental Centers can use to apply to your teeth to protect your teeth from tooth decay. This protective layer can keep plaque out of pits and fissures that are difficult to clean in molars and pre-molars in the back of the mouth. Sealants can be beneficial to both children and adults who are battling tooth decay.
Veneers
The procedure for sealants is similar to the procedure for bonding or composite veneers. You will receive a thorough exam and professional cleaning first. Then your dentist at Smile 32 Dental Centers will use an etching solution that prepares the surface of the tooth to bond tightly with the sealant. The sealant is then painted onto the surface of the tooth and hardened into place by a special light. If the sealant is too thick and affects your bite, your dentist at Smile 32 Dental Centers will make adjustments. Once hardened and firmly attached, your teeth are ready for regular use.
Crowns
A crown is a restoration or a â€œcapâ€ that covers a severely damaged tooth. A bridge is a false, or replacement tooth used to â€œbridgeâ€ or connect the space caused by a missing tooth.
Bridges
A fixed bridge is when a crown is fitted permanently on the teeth on both sides. The crowns on both sides anchor the false tooth. It is similar to a regular crown procedure and has the most natural fit and appearance.

Root Canal Treatment
A root canal refers to a common dental treatment designed to save a tooth. The root canal treatment is a dental procedure used to remove infection from the soft center of the tooth. Usually this is because of an abscess, an infection inside a tooth that can cause symptoms such as a toothache or gum pain. Over time, the hard outer layer of a tooth can weaken because of tooth decay or trauma. This can expose the inner tooth to bacteria and infection. Infection in the center of a tooth needs to be stopped before it spreads to the rest the gums and the rest of the mouth. An infection can damage other teeth, gums, your jawbone and even the rest of the body. A root canal treatment can remove the infection and save the rest of the tooth.

Deep Cleaning
Tartar, plaque on teeth that has hardened, can become difficult to remove. Scaling is a procedure used to scrape the tartar off your teeth at and below the gum line resulting in a deep cleaning.

Dentures
After extraction of teeth, you have two alternatives. First, you will have to wait several months for the areas to heal before making the denture. Second, is that an immediate denture is made. Most people choose the latter.

Dental Implants
Extraction is a routine procedure used with a local anesthetic. This numbs the area near the tooth so it can be extracted. You will feel some pressure, no pain, and the procedure is usually quick. Tooth Extractions
The Cowardin Ave location is awful. Had a 9am appointment for tooth extraction and was not seen until 1030am. Could not get extraction done due to another appointment I had on my calendar at 11am. Was told by the rude and obnoxious office mgr in the red outfit that if I don't get it done then, don't call the office later complaining about pain cause they not going to give me any pain medicine. Office staff need to be replaced. They act like it was my fault. I was there at 850am and wasn't seen until 1030am. Hmmm how is that my fault. Several people who was there expressed their dissatisfaction with them. As of now I am going through every avenue to report this location and incompetent staff and now I am wondering if they charged my insurance for an extraction that never happened. Making insurance aware of this also.

Braces
Very unprofessional! I will not be scheduling another appointment here again. I came to my last appointment (in July)and got out of the car they asked me to not get out until they called me. I came to my appointment today (Sept 29) with the same COVID restrictions. As an FYI I have braces. They required me to have my braces wire removed before they could fill my cavities which meant I had to communicate with my orthodontist and correlate an appt on the same day as theirs. (I literally had 3 appts the same day... getting wire removed @ 9a. 2.... supposedly for filling my cavities. 3... for replacing my wire) I arrived at the dentist at 12: 03P. I did not get out of the car due to the same COVID restrictions. I watched the lady go repeatedly in and out of the door talking to various people. I received a call at 12:22 asking where was I for my appt. I told her I am outside in the parking lot. She informed me that I should have notified her by coming to the door. You asked me to not get out my car the first time. Then she asked to reschedule as if I have not made appts with 2 different dentist. This was your mistake. Very unprofessional never again.
